  1. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nhl/news/story?id=5141679 I can't believe there was even consideration of a penalty. So silly.
  2. Can you name ant great BASKETBALL players that aren't douchebags? Tim Duncan and Deron Williams Much better choices (and more recent). Is this douchebaggy? Or just the confidence every great player has to have?
  3. Argh...and game 1 (and 4) is on Versus.
  4. Payne's problem is that he doesn't have great instincts.
  5. Please explain how you come to the conclusion that the 5th place team in the conference is the favorite over the 3 teams above them that made it to the 2nd round? Not to mention whatever team makes it to the the Finals from the east.
  6. From PFW:
  7. Agreed Raw. This offseason really concerned me, and I still think we have challenges on the offensive side of the ball, but there's a lot of young potential there, and the defense might be able to cover for some of those mistakes, or give the offense a short field to work with. NFL offseason is too long...:P
  8. While that's true, and I don't think he's going anywhere, we seem to have plenty of guys on this team that can more than handle kick returns. Probably...Knox could do it. Hester of course. But Manning has some versatility that I don't think the Bears would want to part with.
  9. Hmmm interesting. I'd rather keep him and let him, Afalava, and Harris battle for a starting spot, but he does look like the #3 to me at this point, so if we took Bullocks instead it wouldn't be a huge deal. I'd probably keep Payne. He's probably the best FS on the roster at this point (I know, not saying much), not knowing what Major Wright will do. But even if you figure Harris and Wright as starters, Payne would be the first likely to get time at FS and would at least be in the mix w/ Afalava at SS. I figured Bullocks and Steltz were in trouble w/ an outside shot you could find a trade partner for Danieal Manning. I don't think Manning would go anywhere...if nothing else he's valuable for his kick returns...
  10. I've got a buddy that's a big Sharks fan...I'm really hoping they both get to the Conference Finals.
  11. Well this is frustrating, but then again, the trade makes it a sure thing, without having to bid for his services...and from what it sounds like, Williams wanted out...didn't think he was getting a shot with the vets in front of him.
  12. Really? Harris was a quality (though not great by any means) safety for the Bears during the Super Bowl season. When he was traded, people didn't hate it because we still trusted Lovie at that point, and were kind of rolling with the Adam Archuleta idea. It was pretty clearly a mistake in hindsight.
  13. Sounds a lot like us when he was traded to Carolina in the first place.
  14. okay, now it won't be good to have him back. jamar williams is a star waiting to happen. LB is deep and the safeties are bad. Harris/Wright should be a huge upgrade over the MASH unit that was back there last year. true, i just hate giving up a good young player while the others at the position are aging. Angelo and Lovie are much more interested in the present than the future at this point.
  15. There's nothing at all wrong with some depth at our weakest defensive position. The Bears now have: Chris Harris Kevin Payne Al Afalava Danieal Manning Josh Bullocks Craig Steltz.......at the S position all of whom have started at at least 1 of the S positions for the Bears. Then you throw in the first draft pick this year and the Bears have a lot of bodies at the S positions all of a sudden. Biggs says it's likely that Harris will start at strong safety and Wright at free safety. So yeah...some of those guys started, but only out of necessity...I don't think many of them are actually very good at the position.
  16. Apparently the Score is saying it's Jamar Williams.
  17. Brad Biggs tweeted that the trade could involve a veteran linebacker.
  18. There's nothing at all wrong with some depth at our weakest defensive position.
  19. Well there should be very litle "adapt to a new system" time with that move.
  20. The Nashville fan was being really annoying and stupid, but that's kind of a dick move ha. It seemed like the guy was smiling, and his friends were definitely laughing. I think all involved were in the right frame of mind about it. Good aim from Keith.
  21. Which always just pointed out how much the Phillies were overvaluing Howard. For some reason, they think he's in Pujols territory.
