  1. The one thing he doesn't have is a city that gives a crap about sports. So what? If he wins a title I don't think he'll say "Wow, I wish Miami was happier." Everybody is happy when they're winning titles. But he better win titles. If they don't, you're wasting Lebron's "star power" on a market that could care less.
  2. Cleveland would have dealt with it just fine if he'd talked to them...explained that he felt like he needed to go somewhere else, and was just a decent human being about it. Sure, he'd have had haters, but nothing like this. Certainly not Gilbert throwing a temper tantrum. Instead, James decided to announce on a TV special to the Cavs (and 4 or so other teams) that he wasn't going to be joining them. I've lost a massive amount of respect for Lebron James through this....even if he had come to the Bulls, which I still wanted. Clearly a very skilled basketball player, but clearly not as mature as most thought.

  4. Dan Gilbert has a jillion dollars and can't find a font that isn't reminiscent of a Geocites page? Guy in the ESPN chat said it looks like an invite to a picnic. http://bancomicsans.com/ I am unapologetic for my love of Comic Sans.
  5. PDcavsinsider Several GMs & prominent agents are defiant, insisting #LeBron will stay in CLE. They can't see the rationale of leaving $ and this process.
  6. Probasketballtalk.com keeps using this pic of David Lee, and it cracks me up...
  7. I read this morning (I forget where) that Lebron's decision will be in the first 15 min of the show...so yeah...unless he chooses Chicago, I think 15 min is about all I'm watching...
  8. If it's Cleveland, he's been a real douche about it... Of course, I guess he's pretty much been a douche about it no matter who it ends up being...but still. What a way to string a team/community/city/state along.
  9. Or Chicago, and he wouldn't have to call players begging them to take a pay cut to play with them. Chicago is deeper, but no one on the Bulls roster is as good as Wade or Bosh Boozer isn't much of a drop off from Bosh. Bosh plays defense. Being 6'11" (or whatever he is) does help him in that department, no doubt.
  10. Cool! I'm CC over there also. CC is easy to spot...he's the one posting in hi def.

  12. Smoke screen to what? At this point I dont think that would do anything. Ratings. Really, I don't believe a word out of ESPN at this point, and I'm only slightly less skeptical of other media.
  13. I'd almost be ok with the Bulls losing out on Lebron if that specific scenario would actually take place.

  15. I'm gonna guess it the Nets.
  16. Not yet, but he most likely will before any potential lockout.
  17. We don't know yet. From what I've read is that Bosh will go to Miami either way. Either as a S&T 6 year max, or as a 5 year max without Toronto's help. Apparently Riley wants Bosh to just go for the 5 year max...
  18. The twisted logic is that Lebron is tweeting and doing this special tomorrow...and NY is all about hype...so yeah. Can't you see how that clearly goes together?
  19. Wait till Lebron stays in Cleveland or goes to Miami. And watch it freaking explode if he goes to NY.
  20. I think Lebron to Miami is a fantasy. Even if they managed to squeeze him in, they'd have no room for other salaries.
  21. Why? He's bitter in the moment, that's all.
  22. It's possible to do everything right...try as hard as you can, and still fail. That doesn't mean we're all crapping on the Bulls as an organization. They just weren't able to get this done. It was a failure.
