    There was a guy calling into the Score this morning that was saying what he really wanted when Piniella was hired was someone too go all ballistic on the players and umps and get everyone fired up, and that he hasn't done that, so now he's worried the Cubs are going to hire Sandberg, and that Sandberg was so docile/mild mannered during his playing career.

    So how old were you when you suffered the massive head trauma? Seriously, I could never see myself sitting down, popping in the DVD to watch the video of a sporting event that I already know what happened and just about every other side story that went along with it. I see your point nowadays, with youtube and 40 or so sports channels. It made more sense though when the Bulls were winning, and you couldn't see highlights at will. See how I vindicated my own purchases while agreeing with your point? How awesome am I?

    Yep...I recorded it too, and now when I'm bored, I'll watch the last few minutes of the 3rd and OT. Was the catalyst for the entire playoff run, imo. Kaner knows how to get those dramatic goals, doesn't he? Honestly, I think that's the game that made me a fan... I watched every minute of the Hawks run after that.

    haha yeah i was pretty sure that assertion was wrong, but didn't know how to prove it... good to see mlb.com still has those hit charts. What specifically in those hit charts proves his bad luck? I'm just not sure what I'm looking for...

    If nothing else, that video was a ton of fun to watch. It show that it wasn't all Jordan that kept me interested in the Bulls during that time. That was Grant's last year with the Bulls, right? He went to Orlando in the offseason? I really miss that "era" of the NBA.

    Magic Johnson signed a 25 year/$25 million deal back in the day. Huh...I never knew that. I was like 6 years old at that point, but still, you'd think I'd have heard of it.

    Why is it that hockey is the one that does crazy deals like that? I think the longest non-hockey deal I can think of is 10 years for Mike Hampton, yes?

    But....why? What is the purpose of having Lou leave and Brenly take over now? What would Brenly want to come down and guide a loser team through the last 2 1/2 months? Lou is someone who has been a big contributor to what has happened here. If he doesn't want to quit, fine...he can ride it out. Clean house after the season. I just don't see the gain.

    Again TT, it depends on the goals here. Clearly Lebron's only goal here is championships, and if that's his only goal, then he made the right decision. I doubt many would debate that. But if you're talking about legacy, and being percieved as the best player ever...he's put himself in a poor position for that.
