  1. The "Wilson vs NSBB" argument is boring and dumb. Can we please stop having it? There are approximately 2 million better conversations about the Bears to be having.
  2. Yeah, it was only 7 yards on the Suh penalty, and Cutler already had the 1st, but it's another thing for Lions fans to grab onto, instead of the fact that their team is good, but doesn't know how to win. The really important question to answer is.....am I the only person that hadn't heard of "The Dougie" before Stanton's endzone celebration?
  3. By definition? What's the definition you're using? I never felt like we were in danger of losing it. Are you trying to argue that I didn't feel that way? The definition is that if the game ended, we would have a lower score than our opponents. I wasn't attempting to argue what you felt, but the fact is, we were behind. We were never more than one score behind. The way that the offense played all game, I felt like we could get a TD when we needed it. Of course we were behind. But I never felt there was a danger that that would be the case at the end of the game, which, by definition, is when it matters.

  5. I just think the Bears D took the Lions too lightly with a 3rd string QB in there. Again, I thought the offense was strong the whole game. Defense got their heads out of their butts at half, and we won the game. I honestly never felt like we were in danger of losing it. Told my wife that at the half.
  6. The offense was strong today. This team might be about the D, but today the O bailed them out, at least for the first half. I hope Pisa is back next week.
  7. Pisa played against Philly.
  8. I thought Marinelli was supposed to be a "teacher" too though?
  9. The whole thing would've been much more entertaining if Cleveland had a halfway decent team to at least put up some semblance of a fight on the court.
  10. Bell has been inactive every game this season so far.
  11. Well you still needed a backup RB. I suppose you could've gone with Bell, but it's hard to have too much depth at RB. The Taylor signing made sense at the time. The Manumaleuna signing was weird then, with TE being a strong position and is really dumb in retrospect. The only way to justify that was if Manumaleuna was a really strong blocker, and he hasn't been, with a few exceptions.
  12. This made me laugh...
  13. He was the one I heard on the radio this morning say that it was because of Stanton.
  14. Apparently Taylor has gotten into fights with teammates in both Baltimore and Minnesota.
  15. I'm not sure why you would expect unanimous support of the Bears. They are only 3.5 point favorites. They were 3.5 point dogs last week and many people picked them. It's perfectly reasonable to pick the Lions in an upset this week. It's almost a classic trap game, if New England was an NFC team. They're actually 5 point favorites. When did that happen? I think when it was reported that Stanton was starting.
  16. I don't think they should be ashamed of themselves. If they didn't think he should be in the hall then maybe they are wrong. But they shouldn't be affected by how much the guy wanted to be in the hall or his health. There's a lot of people in this thread that are pretty emotionally affected by Ronnie's passing. I'm not gonna tell anyone what to say, or how to feel, but maybe, just in this thread, we can try to keep the debate to a minimum, and let this be a thread for vent grief and anger.
  17. I think the problem is what is the cutoff? Is it all about record? That's unfair when teams can double up on weak divisions for opponents. Should a 12-4 wild card really get homefield over an 11-5 division winner? I think they could make something say you need 10 wins to host a playoff game. But that's difficult. Yeah, I think you'd just have to do it by record. Yeah, you'd have teams that beef up on weak divisions, but when you start evaluating "strength of schedule" as a factor or something, you start getting toward subjective stuff. I'm open to other ideas, but I think you still have to do it by record + tiebreakers.
  18. Yup. It would involve all the other teams also finishing 6-10. And since it's the NFL, and they'd be the home team, they could even win that opening game. LOL. That pretty much makes you want the NFL to reconsider having divisions really. That's just stupid. I'm ok with divisions, so long as they redo the seeding process. If you want an NFC west champion in the playoffs, I can kind of understand that...but they shouldn't have a home game, or be seeded as highly as they will be. Make them the 6th seed.
  19. It wasn't diabetes...it was complications from bladder cancer. RIP Ronnie. Horrible news to wake up to this morning.
  20. I confess...I always thought it was kuh-TAR.
  21. How do you have SF at 8-8? They have Green Bay and San Diego left. Did you just not read his first sentence?
  22. Saw a mock today at Walterfootball.com that has us taking a WR in the 1st round. Has us taking using the next two picks on the line though.
