  1. Boise and Utah were sloppy last night. Boise had at least 2 TD's that they gave away...(fumble through endzone and catch with a toe on the line). Still though, after taking the first quarter to feel out Utah, Boise really dominated the rest of the game. Not much to watch if you weren't a fan of either team.
  2. Am I crazy, or does that seem like a list of names that Sullivan just came up with by himself? Hughes a freaking fantastic straight PBP guy. He got stuck doing the "play off Ron" shtick because Santo was so awful 99% of the time that it was the only way to make it entertaining. I really hope they just get a simple color guy and let Hughes go back to being an actual play-by-play guy, a job at which he is fantastic. Frankly, I don't want him to be straight play by play. I like the humor and side stuff that he brings. Lets be honest, there's a lot of time to filll on the radio, and being funny and entertaining is a key component of making an interesting broadcast. Pat does PBP great, but he also does the rest of it. Plus, Pat always takes an inning off. That means someone else would have to come in and fill in for at least an inning every game with nobody there to help him out. Everything about a solo booth is a terrible, terrible idea.
  3. Is that the one where he was joking around about how fast he was? EDIT: Found the one you're talking about, which is good, but there was one that I think they played during the ESPN pregame on Monday night, and I can't find it anywhere online...talking about how he was hitting 3rd gear and stuff...maybe it was from the same game, not sure.
  4. Pat as a "one man booth" is an awful idea. Part of his charm is how well he plays off the other people in the booth. Pat tormenting Ron was always hilarious. I think you'd lose a big part of what makes Pat entertaining without another person for him to play off of.
  5. Was just coming here to post this. That's amazing.
  6. Yes, he missed the Seattle game, which was when I believe Cutler still wasn't 100% post concussion. I was misled by sports talk radio! Also I forgot. Pisa has failed to accumulate stats in 4 games, and I believe he left another one after making one tackle. Also, the line was plagued by injuries early in the season. Garza and Williams missed time. Desmond Clark was slated to be a part of this offense but hasn't played much at all after some early injuries. Manumaleuna was injured in training camp and I think that made him limited early in the season. Also, Major Wright was expected to compete for a starting position but was too injured to get the job and too injured to play most of the first half of the season. Then there's Hillenmeyer. I'm not sure where you got your starter numbers of games missed, but it's not true. They have been relatively lucky with health, in comparison to GB and INDY, as well as last year's team. But they haven't completely avoided the injury bug either. It was Hub just throwing stuff out on the radio...I should've checked it out before stating it. And I knew about Williams and Garza...I clearly just wasn't thinking.
  7. I think it's safe to call Chester Taylor a bust for us this season...

  9. Yeah, the Colts and Packers were the teams with a crazy amount of injuries that were being mentioned last night in comparison to the Bears amazing health.
  10. This. But I'm sure we'll blow one of the final two games and McCarthy will stay. It seems to me that McCarthy really has a built in excuse with all the injuries. I think I heard Hub Arkush say you guys had 6 starters on IR, and 3 of the backups that filled those spots are on IR? And that's not even including Aaron Rodgers missing the Pats game. Something like that....that's nuts. Meanwhile the Bears starters have missed a total of 3 games due to injury. Tinoisamoa has missed 2, and Cutler missed 1.
  11. Hey Wilson, when did you start writing for a Jets blog? The Fake Franchise Quarterback
  12. I've been watching a lot of Hester highlights over the last couple of days...does this one remind anyone else of Desean Jackson this week? The way he kinda recovers from a sloppy catch/start to the return. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h_yZY9OMSZ8
  13. Favre playing and Petersen out is amazing. Webb better be ready to go...I don't think there's any way that Favre finishes the game. I'm actually kind of encouraged that there really isn't much Bears focus tonight. I mean, they keep mentioning the Bears would win the division, but that's it...no mention of specific players...not mention of matchups or anything. It's all on the weather, and Favre.
  14. Favre possibly playing on a turf that's hard as concrete? That sounds like a recipe for entertainment.
  15. Last week proved that playing the Patriots doesn't favor the Bears.
  16. Bravo sir. Skimming this thread, this one was my fav.
  17. Patriots can't stop a team that was unable to do a thing vs the Lions. Awesome.
  18. Gotcha. Didn't know that. Everything that happened today made a Bears-Packers matchup in the first round of playoffs A LOT more likely. I'm not sure about that. I haven't run all the scenarios, but the Bears have the tiebreaker over the Eagles....but the Giants would've had it over the Bears. Which means the Bears getting the 2nd seed is more likely after today than it was if the Giants had won. I guess GB is more likely to make the playoffs though, so I you're probably right...but I still think a Chi-GB first round matchup is a long shot. Hmmm...maybe I was off base here...if the Bears beat the Vikings and Jets, and Philly and GB both win out, it does look like Chi-GB is a possibility. Bears need to win out for the bye probably.

  20. Yeah, it's just Kluwe. It looks like the game will still be played there.
  21. Having been a former resident, I can state with some confidence that there's enough to do to keep you from sexually assaulting teammates/recruits/whatever. I don't believe you, pervert. If there was a football playoff, mid major schools wouldn't have to resort to this kind of thing!!
  22. Derek Jeter is the #38 batter. As such, I summarily reject these findings.

  24. WTF http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/17/boise-state-hazing-scandal_n_798213.html
  25. If they're gonna rename them, I say they go generically geographic, even if they don't actually distingish anything. Maybe "Midwest" and "Central". Meaningless, but not as hokey as leaders and legends. And doesn't really favor anyone school over another.
