  1. I was thinking we'd see a completely new cast of characters there. Thought Lewis would be gone, Palmer, TO, Ocho, and Benson gone as well. I'm sure TO is gone, but keeping Lewis may mean they don't plan on rebuilding immediately, so maybe those other 3 are coming back now? John Clayton ranked Carson Palmer as the #15 QB, just ahead of...Jay Cutler. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=clayton_john&id=5972554
  2. Vegas' odds on the Super Bowl winner...
  3. This one is for Wilson...
  4. It didn't affect draft position, except for maybe a tiebreaker(?). Once you're in the playoffs, draft order is determined by your exit from the playoffs.
  5. Oh...right...I'm a bit slow on the uptake today apparently.
  6. How the heck is that going to work? If I elect to receive and I march down and kick a field goal, the opposing team has the opportunity to march down the field and either match my field goal or score a touchdown to win? If I march down the field and score a touchdown, the opposing team doesn't get to try to march down the field and match my touchdown? Correct.
  7. Who the heck is going to give up a second round pick for a back up quarterback? Orton was a starter, and a very good one, all season until he got the coaching change, and Orton got an injury. He says he's healthy, but they want to see what Tebow has. FO has Orton as the 12 ranked QB, just behind Flacco, just ahead of Vick, and far ahead of Cutler. Orton was 4th in Yds/G, and only had 9 picks. All that said, they won't get a 2nd rounder, mostly because he's set to make $8.4mil next year.
  8. Looks about right. I'll go with that.
  9. Broncos will ask for a 2nd rounder for Orton. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/01/04/broncos-will-want-second-round-pick-for-orton/
  10. http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/insider/columns/story?columnist=kiper_jr_mel&id=5973765
  11. My ranking: AJ Green Justin Blackmon Julio Jones Michael Floyd Torrey Smith Jonathan Baldwin Leonard Hankerson Ryan Broyles Those are all 1st 2 round WRs, IMO. Hopefully somebody good falls to Oakland in the second round and the Raiders actually do the smart thing and take a WR. Depends on who the fastest receiver at the combine is. This guy's mock draft has Blackmon falling to the Jets at #28. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/nfldraftscout-ChadReuter I know the Bears need offensive line, but if Blackmon was there for the Bears...
  12. Profootballtalk posted their week 17 power rankings...this was their comment for the Bears... But yet, they have Atlanta as their number 2 team. I'm confused. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/01/03/week-17-power-rankings/
  13. Just a reminder that now that the playoffs are starting, the overtime rules change. Can't win the game with a FG on the first OT possession.
  14. Personally, I don't think they'll miss games. Maybe some offseason stuff, but I don't think anybody wants to give up the money from games.
  15. Is this the interminable offseason thread this season? The Brian Roberts thread? It hasn't nearly matched that level of insanity yet, but it seems like the closest candidate.
  16. Someone may have posted it, but there's a lot of football threads right now...so if it's posted, I missed it... Bears 2011 schedule Home Atlanta Carolina Kansas City San Diego Detroit Green Bay Minnesota Seattle Away New Orleans Tampa Bay Denver Oakland Detroit Green Bay Minnesota Philadelphia
  17. That's just fantastic.
  18. If the playoff seeding was by record... The Saints would be #2 over Chicago due to conference record.
  19. I don't know how they would have made a 2 game improvement over last year without the sage wisdom of Pete Carroll.
  20. not too much, but like all season, i wish we hadn't had to play such a grueling schedule Time to petition the league for a move to the NFC West.
  21. FO mentioned that Forte has been one of the worst backs in the league up the middle, but is top 5 on the outside.
  22. Um...the Packers scored 27 and 45 in back to back weeks and then only scored 10 yesterday. And the Bears defense is better than the Pats or Giants. I didn't say not to give any credit to GB's defense. I simply said they're getting too much. And the Pack defense is better than the Vikes or Jets. GB has had a very good pass defense all year, and a sketchy run defense. I think that beared out yesterday. I guess I just dont see where they're getting undue credit.
  23. Julio Jones is probably after Green. It won't happen, but man I'd love to see that guy on the Bears somehow.
  24. Knox was awful yesterday. And we were playing without Earl Bennett who is (sadly) arguably our best WR. Is there any doubt that we must draft a WR in the first two rounds? Yes. Did you miss the 6 sacks? Is it safe to call Chris Williams a bust yet?
  25. Um...the Packers scored 27 and 45 in back to back weeks and then only scored 10 yesterday.
