    Hibbert has had to be one of Indiana's worst players in this series. Aside from some points early in game 1, all he does is be tall and goofy and foul people, and then give a "I didn't foul him" face.

    Watching Bulls-Pacers last night at least make this debateable. Hockey happens at such an incredible rate of speed that I give them more of a benefit of a doubt. It's the league office that is absurdly incompetent. Plus part of your job in hockey is to stay the [expletive] out of the way so you don't get yourself killed out there. I think it's probably the hardest sport to referee.

    It's hard to get points in the paint when you're getting hammered everytime you go in there. If you count the FTs we made after getting fouled in the paint the numbers won't look so bad. And neither team has been real successful at posting up. The Pacers have tried to focus on it at times but Hibbert is in one of his play poorly stretches. I don't know if post ups are regularly a part of the Bulls game but they've pretty much been ignoring it in this series. Most of our points in the paint usually come from Rose driving to the basket, not from post ups. And Rose just wasn't getting shots to fall on the rare occasion he got in there last night. When your primary "paint scorer" goes 4-18, and your primary "post up" guy goes 2-10 or whatever Boozer was....yeah, the points in the paint aren't gonna look good. Noah is starting to look better. I wish he'd make the decision to go to the basket a little quicker sometimes, but he quietly had a double-double last night.

    Were you watching the same game I was? The Bulls had a ton of unforced turnovers. Dribbling the ball off their feet. Failing to catch passes that proceeded to bounce into the hands of Pacers. The Pacers defense forced TO's, no doubt. But all series the Bulls have just been sloppy with the ball. And it's not like that's something new...it's been something that they've done before, just never for a stretch of 3 games like this. I swear, we could probably reduce or turnovers by half if we could teach our bigs to catch a pass.

Seems like if you have to rip on him for "bragging about humbleness" you're realllllly looking for something. I just always think it's ironic when people praise their own modesty or humility. And most of my annoyance with the Rose humility narrative stems more from the media, who play it up an awful lot. Eh...there's tons of reasons to dislike media narratives. As far as those go, this is pretty tame. They could go back to "Jay Cutler is a [expletive]" if you want.

    I fully appreciate the trolling job that imb and ssr are doing in this thread and the Bulls thread....I really do. But this was not a top effort.

    We'll know early what the playoff chances are for this team. And we might be able to steal a game or two since it's still early. Throw in the extra preseason game, and a game in London, and the Bears really have an interesting season coming up.

    Not to shortchange the Pacers, because they're giving the Bulls all they can handle, but I have to admit I was amused reading an article from Indystar.com this morning where it said the Pacers "forced 22 turnovers". I'm sure it was just a turn of a phrase, but the Pacers didn't "force" all/most of those TO's. The Bulls did a fine job of doing that on their own.

    That's great and all, but he could've had another 10-15 points if he'd have just been more aggressive in the post. And by aggressive, I mean putting a move on a guy, not running directly into his chest, or using his non-shooting hand to murder someone. Boozer is so frustrating to me. Just a really dumb basketball player.

    It's a lot easier to use that as a strategy following a win, and with game 2 at home than it would be if they'd lost that first game.

    If we had to be weak in an area in a game we won anyway, I'd rather it be defense. We know that the defense will be there in the long run.

    Also the ability to have a nightmare hole once in his life instead of once like every 9 holes Heh, well that too. I wasn't limiting the definition of "nightmare hole" to 16's though. Surely he occasionally has a double bogey or two that he has to forget about and move on.
