The revenue from the extra games will help offset some of the "off the top" revenue that the owners don't have to share with the players. Players are going to get a few other concessions as well...health care during potential future lockouts...limitations to offseason workouts and training camp practices...and a new formula allowing them to qualify for certain benefits with fewer seasons played than in the past.

Sounds like a deal will include an 18 game schedule, and a rookie wage scale.

Apparently there was significant progress made yesterday, and Michael Silver from Yahoo says that "smart money is on a settlement" and that nobody wants "armageddon". Sounds like when it comes right down to it, everybody was bluffing...maybe even bluffing themselves.

He no do so good at LT, but he's turned into a pretty damn good LG. I'm not sure what the price tag is, but he'd definitely be an upgrade for that line. Oh yeah, was only interested as a guard. Worried about durability too.

There was a ton of them around when I lived in Boise. Sunday mornings were the best time to get things done. Hit the grocery store...catch a noon movie. Everything was deserted.

He has the Titans taking Patrick Peterson at 8. No way he falls that far, but I cannot express how happy I'd be on draft day if the Titans got Peterson. Yeah, I've seen a couple mocks with Peterson going #1 now.

In a perfect world, it should be Leon Durham, Alex Gonzalez, and Jim Hendry. In a perfect world, those 3 wouldn't exist. I can't hate on Leon. He was my favorite player as a kid. When Mark Grace "replaced" him (or so I saw it as a kid), I stopped watching the Cubs for a while.

Phil Rogers was on The Score this morning, and they were talking about the Cubs having 9 errors, and Mulligan asked Rodgers about it, and Rodgers said that the first problem to address was the Ramirez plays like his feet are nailed to the ground.
