If they're willing to make him one of the highest-paid coaches, that's as good a reason as any. I can't think of anyone that wouldn't leave their job if they were being offered nearly double the salary at another job.

Where exactly are you hearing this from? I saw one person on Purdue's rival.com boards that posted this information and that reports are "surfacing all over the internet". Also, one Missouri sports blog is reporting that they have inside sources that say this will be announced on Tuesday. I think it's just annoying. I don't blame them for banning it. It won't affect the game, but every time I see Boise State home game highlights I keep thinking "Damn, that's an ugly field." Teams have worn some terribly ugly uni's, and those haven't been banned. It's just so ridiculously trivial given the stuff the NFL is dealing with. Owners: We want more money, so we won't let the players play. Players: We want more money, so we're gonna fight you. Competition Committee: Hey, we can't ruin our game with an ugly color!

Ok, but the 1996 team was invincible. I can't be convinced otherwise. Well, yea. NBA Network played game 6 of the 1998 finals the other night. I had a blast watching that...well...except for Costas doing pbp. Yeesh.

Funny as that is, the team that Floyd got to coach was a bit different than the team that Thibs has been blessed with. That's not to diminish at all what Thibs has done, nor to provide an excuse for Floyd. Still. Funny. Most definitely.

Sure, but I think what he was trying to say is that before he was avoiding that contact and making the shots. Instead of now playing into the contact, and not necessarily getting the FG's...instead going to the line. No idea at all if that's accurate at all, but I think that's what he was implying. EDIT: Or not.
