  1. Rougarou? Interesting... That's probably my pick out of those 5. Mosquitos would be horrible IMO. I probably rank them Rougarou/Pelicans/Bullsharks/Swamp Dogs/Mosquitos. Yeah, Mosquitos would be awful.
  2. It's not about Campbell. It's about spending money on the backup QB position. No matter the name.
  3. Apparently the Browns are going to hired Michael Lombardi (from the NFL Network) to a "glorified player personnel director position". Once that happens, they intend to hire Saban, Chip Kelley, or Josh McDaniels as HC. http://mobile.boston.com/art/40/sports/football/patriots/extra_points/2012/12/will_mcdaniels?single=1
  4. I'm more ok with the Michael Bush money than the Campbell money. As am I. If they would have addressed the line the Bush signing would have seemed like a nice bonus. But they blame short yardage problems on who is the RB and yet no matter who the RB is they've sucked in short yardage for quite a while. Bush was a lot better at short yardage when healthy though. He at least picked a spot an hit it hard. Forte runs into the back of his own lineman too much, trying to let them do the work. But I think we're on the same page here.

  6. Ah, yeah that'd suck to have to wait another 9 years. But hey, they might possibly be good by then. I don't wanna commit to anything though.
  7. These guys always seem to need some outside force to insult them and make them better, so if they want to pretend the fans here are rougher on the home team's mistakes than any other fans in the sport, then so be it. Just get the freaking job done. I don't need your respect. Just a win. Agreed. I'm very understanding of guys that are winning.
  8. Oh FFS, just stop talking guys....
  9. How long were you on the list?
  10. You'd have to get another PG then right? Or would they just try to make do with Hinrich and Teague?
  11. Someone mentioned this in one of the other Bears thread, but Mac and Spiegel are doing parody xmas songs about the Bears. Some are really funny, some are just bad. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/tag/mcneil-and-spiegel-holiday-song/ I really like "Devin the Wrong Way Runner" http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2012/12/17/listen-devin-the-wrong-way-runner/
  12. Yeah, I've seen that suggested elsewhere, and I really like that idea.
  13. lol...way to make it about yourself there.
  14. Maybe they're uncertain that he's leaving school early?
  15. That was just a needless signing. If Cutler goes down the season is over, so don't bother wasting money on his backup. Instead of that money they spent on backup RB/QB it would have been nice to sign a legit OL. If the bears had Campbell when Cutler when down last year, I tend to think that they would have at least beat the Chiefs and probably even the Raiders the week before. Win those two games and the bears (I assume) make the playoffs at 10-6 and likely have a healthy Cutler for the playoffs. Remember how much better the offense looked when McCown was in as opposed to Hankie Pankie? So keep McCown. Campbell was still unnecessary.
  16. That was just a needless signing. If Cutler goes down the season is over, so don't bother wasting money on his backup. Instead of that money they spent on backup RB/QB it would have been nice to sign a legit OL. The Campbell signing was Jim Hendry-esque in the sense that it was an immediate reaction to the reason why the previous season was deemed to be unsuccessful. No real way to boil it down like that this year.
  17. 2nd round they had us taking DJ Fluker, OT Alabama.
  18. Has there been any hint of Shea's role long-term? Probably need to figure out who the head coach is next year first, and what kind of defensive scheme they'll be running.
  19. lol...gross. http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/1884759/fatguyarm_medium.gif
  20. Yeah, the mocks don't mean much until we get the draft order set, but I'm liking the Ogletree + Long plan.
  21. Walterfootball's mock today has the Bears taking Ogletree. It's being done live, and they haven't gotten to the 2nd round pick yet. Also someone on reddit did a mock using a model created from player ratings from cbssports.com. Has the Bears with Eric Fisher in the first, and Khaseem Greene in the 2nd.
  22. How your team was assembled: http://www.profootballrosters.com/2012/12/02/2012-how-assembled-charts/ Green Bay has 10 more drafted players on their roster than we do. EDIT: In fact, so far I can't find a team that has fewer drafted players on the roster. EDIT2: Rams have only 20.
  23. Bush does go to the IR.
