    this is exactly what i think It will tell who really is making the call. If Emery really has the authority to make the call, Lovie will be gone. Why would you say that? I think Emery is inclined to keep Lovie around if he can. I think he genuinely respects the job he has done and thinks he can continue working with him. I am going to assume Lovie stays with some turnover at the OC job, again. Maybe if they actually put some effort into finding a suitable offensive line it will work. I think any GM would want their own guy in there. The Bears have missed the playoffs 5 out of 6 years, and collapsed in two straight, for whatever reason. If Lovie stays, he surely will get another new OC, and I think if that happens, it says that they're keeping Lovie because ownership doesn't want to eat that last year of his contract, and pay two HC's for 2013.

    Jags fire their GM. Andy Reid supposedly gone. Pat Shurmur, Norv Turner, and Romeo Crennel all presumed to be on the way out. Ken Whisenhunt meeting with the team Pres today.

    I think it's really tough to talk personnel until we know what's happening with the coaches. Does Urlacher come back? I think that depends a whole lot on Lovie. What do the Bears do with Hester? I think that depends a lot on Lovie.

    If anybody wants to start reading too much into things, but they announced that players will be available to the media tomorrow at 11, but they didn't announce any availability for Lovie per Brad Biggs.

    Beat SF at home and it's meaningless. They still have to play an extra game in the playoffs, which matters. They lost more than just the Seattle game.

    I have a lot of mixed emotions right now.

    I'm not buying that Lovie is safe if they miss the playoffs. I'm not buying that Lovie gets to try with another OC, even if it's Bates. If they miss the playoffs, that'll be two collapses in a row. It'll be time for Emery to bring in his own choice.

    He means that fans will be asking that question either Monday (Bears miss playoffs), or a week from Monday (Bears lose in round 1). It has nothing to do with Rose's timetable. Yeah. Rose has only done a few non-contact things in practice. He wasn't being serious.
