  2. There's a thread about 3 down from that one called "projecting 2013". viewtopic.php?f=2&t=61667
  3. Bears are considering putting Bush on IR due to the rib injury.
  4. Dodgers shopping Ethier per Rosenthal and Mark Feinsand.
  5. Earl Bennett expected to play this week.
  6. ESPN to air PTI Notre Dame special tonight. The show will look back at the show's last decade of covering Notre Dame going back to Bob Davie's hiring. PTI did a similar bit that was posted online concerning a timeline of PTI's coverage of Lebron James. That was a 15 min web segment. The Notre Dame special on ESPN will be a half hour.
  7. Bears expected to re-sign Khalil Bell today. Bush still fighting rib injury.
  8. Playoff clinching scenarios for the Bears per a guy on Reddit: Chicago Win both games; Seahawks lose both; Two of Dallas, Washington, Giants, and Minnesota lose 1 Win both games; Minnesota loses 1; two of Washington, Dallas, and Giants lose one Win one game; Minnesota loses both; Washington wins NFC East; Dallas and Giants 9-7 Win one game; Giants wins NFC East; Dallas and Washington 9-7; Minnesota 8-8 Scenario 2 seems to be the best route.

  12. Arians and Kelley are both interesting to me. Reid, nooooooo. Cowher...meh. He just doesn't seem like much of a change from Live. Yeah, he yells more and gets mad face more. I want an offensive coach. This is an offensive league. I want a real offense, with some creativity. I want an offensive coach too, but Chip Kelley strikes me as the kind of college coach who will have a very difficult time adapting his system to the pros, and Cutler would probably hate him. Arians would be a much better fit, and I'm intrigued by McCoy. I'd also poach whoever I could from GB. Yeah, I don't think that Kelley would want to come here anyway.
  13. Cowher's offense's were a hell of a lot better than any Lovie oversaw. Cowher may have been a defensive coach with a tough guy attitude but like Belichik he realized you had to throw to win in this league, a decade before Lovie figured that out. He wouldn't be my top choice, but he and Gruden would clearly be better options than keeping Lovie around. Ok, I'm probably overstating it. I just want more dramatic change than Cowher and Gruden.
  14. Dan Bernstein just made a pretty funny analogy. The Bears are like the guy that has the video game controller but doesn't know what all the buttons do. "But I hit pass!"
  15. Really? Over Cowher? Yes. Not interested. Care to elaborate? I think he was a pretty good coach. Would you rather have Nick Saban? Jon Gruden? Bruce Arians? Andy Reid? Chip Kelley? EDIT: Mike McCoy from Denver? Arians and Kelley are both interesting to me. Reid, nooooooo. Cowher...meh. He just doesn't seem like much of a change from Live. Yeah, he yells more and gets mad face more. I want an offensive coach. This is an offensive league. I want a real offense, with some creativity.
  16. Really? Over Cowher? Yes. Not interested.
  17. Pass on both of those.
  18. Jay Cutler show on ESPN 1000 now...FYI.
  19. Oh, and as of right now, the Bears would pick 20th in the draft. It's possible for us to get as high as 12th if we lose out and everything goes "right". Most likely though, 18th is probably the most realistic "best" we could do.
  20. Things that are going through my head today: If the Bears fire Lovie, will Urlacher retire? If the Bears fire Lovie, will they try to hire an offensive minded HC to over-compensate for the offensive struggles? I'd rather keep Lovie than hire any available ex-head coaches.
  21. Someone made charts like this for all the starting QB's... http://i.imgur.com/g9mdA.png Here's the entire album: http://imgur.com/a/KFlb9#0
  22. I kinda feel like the NBA season is just starting for me, now that the Bears are [expletive] the bed.
