    Per Sean Jensen, Bennett is unlikely to play this week, but he says the Bears are hopeful that Hester and Jeffrey will both play.

    It's amazing how touchy people get about things that are either factual or at least undisputed. It's factual, undisputed, and irrelevant. Oh no! Theo's replacement isn't as good as Theo was! That proves that Theo is bad or something, because...others aren't as good as him.... The quality of Theo's handpicked replacement is irrelevant to the Cubs when he's also handpicking the guys to put in charge of the Cubs? Yep. Completely different motivations, selection options, and different levels of current influence on decisions.

    Yeah, and that was my least favorite thing about him as well, but disagreeing with his opinion didn't mean that I didn't think he was entertaining or informative.

    Jeffrey will probably play, and Hester is a possibility. Forte and Briggs will play too. But you're right, they'll all be on the report.

    Because he sucked at his job, just less so than others. The only reason to keep him was that there were horrifically worse options. No one will miss Brenly. oh come on. I agree with Bittner. There was nothing particularly good about Brenley. I think Len brought out the best in him. Yea. I didn't like him much. That doesn't mean nobody will miss him, though. It's not like he was Joe Morgan. Right. I liked him, I get that many didn't, but biittner was way over the top there.

    I know he's been a little banged up but that Forte deal looks like bad money to me. He doesn't look like the same guy as last year He's played the whole season on a bum ankle. But yeah, I like Bush better this year.

    EDIT: Oops, missed the link above. Dammit. Have we seen the last of him in a Bears uniform? No. They said he should be ok for the playoffs. Outside chance he could play the Lions game, but I'd imagine that'd only be if they had to have that game.

    He chose to leave. Some say he just wanted to go to AZ, others have said he wanted more money from the Cubs. Either way, this couldn't have worked out better. Deshaies is an upgrade. I'm sure most here don't like The Boers and Bernstein show on the Score, but while listening to them yesterday, Bernstein mentioned that his Cubs guy indicated the reason that Brenly isn't coming back is b/c the Cubs wanted to go in a different direction and bring in a guy that doesn't over-the-top criticize the Cubs players like Brenly did at times. Regardless, Deshaies seems like a great hire and I'm looking forward to watching next year! I like the B&B show (mainly Bernstein) but I don't believe any of their "sourced" information. Completely agree. Boers is bad, Bernstein can be very good, but neither of them have impeccable sources, imo.
