    Ian Rapoport @RapSheet I spoke to the agent for ex-#Bears coach Lovie Smith. @Matt_Smith_IMG tells me Lovie is "ready to coach in 2013."

    @Seankjensen I'm hearing it's fully expected Broncos will grant #Bears permission to interview Mike McCoy. John Fox won't stand in his O-C's way... @seankjensen John Fox, who was a former defensive coordinator, certainly understands from experience the challenge of landing a head gig.

    What leads me to think that are the many quotes I've read from Urlacher indicating he begrudginly went along with the system because that was the system his head coach demanded. But it's been stated many times he doesn't like it. He definitely didn't sound too intimidated when asked about the possibility have working in a different defensive scheme.

    Huh, both of you saying Urlacher didn't like playing Cover 2 LB....what leads you to think that? Not saying you're wrong, I just don't remember reading any quotes from him about that.

    @peanuttillman Lovie Smith is a man of God, integrity, and loyalty and that's how he coached. I had the and honor to work with him for 9 years. Sad day!!!!

    Urlacher is being MUCH more sane than Hester. Says we're all mad and are gonna say things we don't mean. Doesn't wanna play for anybody but Lovie, but still wants to be a Bear too. Sounds like his emotions are all over the place.

    So... If he hasn't been able to showcase his talents under Lovie, shouldn't he welcome a change? Maybe he's blaming injuries for being unable to perform? Saying that he's been under a lot of stress. How many concussions has he had? Is he afraid of the cumulative effect? That's what I get when he's talking about his kids.

    I'd rather a competent coach select his assistants. Yeah, and ultimately I have no idea what Bates does other than chum it up with Jay and Brandon.
