Steelers have the least new coach. Probably will be most interesting of those teams. They're a shoe-in if no volunteers. I disagree they're a shoe-in, but I think it'd definitely be between them, NY and Chicago.

I was trying to find out why Maddux didn't make the All Star Team in 1993, in the middle of his streak of 4 straight Cy's, and I found the answer in this article: http://articles.baltimoresun.com/1993-07-14/sports/1993195151_1_gaston-lefty-odoul-maddux Bobby Cox didn't want to select Maddux because he'd already pitched on Sunday. But the best thing about that article is that Ken Rosenthal is upset that Cox picked Smoltz (7-7) and would've picked Maddux (8-8) over three 10 game winners...Bill Swift, Chris Hammond, and Tommy Greene....who???

He wasn't nearly as good as McGuire. Yes, I understand that. But he was clearly good enough to be in without the PED considerations. I guess one form of cheating is more acceptable than another.

So, if you're a voter that votes for Mark Mcguire, why would you not vote for Sammy Sosa? I'm not arguing that they've been equal players, but if you are ok with Mcguire, clearly the PED issue doesn't preclude you from voting someone into the HoF. And given that, what is the case for Sammy to be excluded? And yet there's a 16% gap.

That's what he should always have been, and nothing more. But....he was awful at managing our offensive line. Remember, it was Tice that was the Jamarcus Webb advocate.

Couple things. First I think we take him for granted since he's the 4th or 5th biggest name on the roster. He would be the franchise player for a handful of teams. Also, he's just really hot right now. 25 goals, 46 points, +22 in 45 games. Unreal. Yes he's playing with top-flight talent, but he will be playing with the same level or better talent at the Olympics. So overall I think you might say Giroux (until recently) or Neal are better players, but right now Sharp was the better choice for this team. Even people that were screaming about Giroux or Martin St Louis being left off weren't complaining about Sharp making the team. Chris Kunitz seems to be the one that people are focusing on as undeserving. -

PFF says Brandon Marshall finished the year with a +17 run blocking grade. The next closest WR was +6.2.

Should we take that to mean that they feel Mirotic is going to want to stay for personal reasons? Or since it was a "Scouting trip" do they feel he is going to stay because he needs to work on stuff/isn't ready yet? My understanding is that Real Madrid has been pushing hard for him to stay.
