With football and hockey, but with baseball, it's a lot harder to say. Seems like there's just overall a lot more rumor-mongering and "inside info" that turns out to be wrong. Buster Olney maybe?

Well that seems like just a bit of a leap, dontcha think? Yeah, but point is....there's no logic to removing it. I've heard "shorten the game" as a reason for no PATs, but that's stupid. There's a lot of things they could get rid of (hell kickoffs are almost more pointless at this point). Or they could simply give a team a 40-second play clock after the TD to kick the PAT. Would also cut out all the celebration as the guys would need to get off the field in a hurry. Eh, it's a boring part of the game. Removing it may not have great affect, but neither does keeping it. Moving the kickoff location bothered me more than this would.

I caught some of this. I dont know who Wittenmyer is but he cant be as bad as boers and bernstein. Bernstein is an irritating prick. I remember when he used to make fun of hockey for the players eastern european names and when he was just kinda trying to learn about basketball. Hes about 3 years late on everything. Hahaha...Wittenmeyer is a journalist. B&B are blowhards on the radio. There's a reason that he's not "as bad". Bernstein is an ass, but that doesn't mean he's wrong. -

How many defensemen did LA have on the ice though? Marchand is really on quite the tear. I know I've heard it said that Shaw is the Blackhawks' Marchand, but as much as I like Shaw, he can't do some of the things I've seen Marchand do in the last couple of games.

I disagree. I didn't read the post and come away feeling better about myself, which would be an odd takeaway from reading racism pron. Maybe someone who made one of the tweets Deadspin featured will recognize their stupidity and think next time before making ignorant statements? Maybe someone will see it and think twice before putting hatred out into the public? Bah, they'll be excited they got attention, just like a guest on Jerry Springer doesn't care that they're being an ass on tv as long as they're on tv.

Kinda sounds like no one in this front office has decided to talk to him behind the scenes much. Kinda sounds like the team is in a bad place and has been for several years. Which makes it odd that he chooses to squash the few positives with his own negative speculation. -
I agree that it's clickbait, but is there something wrong with feeling morally superior to people who go on racist Twitter rants? It's like watching Jerry Springer, or Honey Boo Boo, or whatever other trash tv you choose to feel better about your life. There's a reason those types of shows have audiences. It's easy to feel better about yourself when you look at the worst of society.

Wittenmeyer was on Mully and Hanley this morning and ripped the Cubs up, down, left and right. Anything "positive" he managed to say was begrudging and quickly follow by some negative qualifier. He's convinced the team is broke, but then criticizes them for not spending resources on the current team. Did say that if the Cubs do get Tanaka, it will make this offseason a successful one. -
Sherman said he did the choke sign to Kaepernick, not Harbaugh. Where does that put Sherman on the nice guy scale?

By the way, I'd be [expletive] pissed if I went to a game and this [expletive] happens. I can understand the occasional fight in hockey. I don't like it...I wish it wasn't there, but this is the kind of [expletive] that makes me want hockey to really get rid of fighting. Why did Calgary send those guys out there to start?
