  1. I have a Card fan friend that I'm going to eventually ask "which Cubs HR crushed you the most?" But he's actually a good friend, so I'm going to give him some time to grieve.
  2. They've been "Weekend at Bernie's"-ing him the whole time.
  3. At certain points in this series, Anderson sounded like Chris Parnell to me.
  4. Wrigley has never hosted a game later in the year than Oct 15. Guaranteed to best that.
  5. Yeah, that pic notwithstanding, it was by far the most into the game I've ever seen Pink Hat Guy.
  6. Because the views are all gone thanks to signage.
  7. Definitely want the Mets. The Dodgers can take their giant payroll and just [expletive] right the hell off.
  8. How excited are TBS/Fox? Only Chi/LA/NY left on the NL side of things. Guaranteed major markets the rest of the way.
  9. Screw that. This isn't an end. Beating the Cards in an NLDS is not enough. It's wonderful...but it's not enough. It's not all gravy from here. There's plenty of meat and potatoes left.

  11. I don't know man, I refuse to put so many eggs in this basket now. Cubs are set up to be good for a long time. We're going to beat them this year, but ultimately I'm satisfied that our franchise is finally set up for consistent success rather than having all our eggs in the short term. That's what is fueling my Cubs world now, and it feels much better than '03, '07, '08. Let's enjoy tonight. But what's at stake is a victory in the NLDS, and moving one step closer to the World Series. The historical rivalry will be impacted as we continually face-off with the Cards and beat them, year after year. I'm so surprised that you're hedging your bets. Shocked I say.
  12. Damn, I kind of liked 2 pitchers in the lineup. Cruz is in..I dont know much about him. isn't he pretty bad with the bat? Yes, but streets ahead of Molina with no thumb. As long as he doesn't pitch frame as well as Molina, I'm happy.
  13. Surprised at no Cogs. Ok with it though.
  14. I like this but also the Soler dong solidified a lead against the Cardinals in a swing game at Wrigley against Wainwright. And that magnificent gold chain.
  15. http://www.sportsonearth.com/article/154289432/cubs-mets-clinch-home-cardinals-dodgers-nlds There's a couple errors in that article, but I'm presuming this one is right. He forgot that the Cubs were in the playoffs in 07, and somehow minimizes the Phillies inclusion in the NL hierarchy.
  16. Schwarber from the Pirates game is #1. It left the stadium, and had a bat flip. Soler is #2, because it was the first pitch off of Cardinal pitching Jesus.
  17. If Molina can't play, does that affect Lackey at all?
  18. I'l only be home about 10 min after pitch. I think I can maintain a blackout that long to catch up on DVR.

  20. So how do they get Coghlan in this lineup today? I mean, nobody wants to take Schwarbs or Soler out, right?
  21. The Cardinals have wasted all of their dongs. They are all out of dongs. The Cardinals have no dongs.
  22. Pham getting start. #STLCards lineup: Carpenter (3B), Piscotty (1B), Holliday (LF), Heyward (RF), Peralta (SS), Pham (CF), Molina ©, Wong (2B), Wacha (RHP)
  23. Today's Lineup: 17 Dongs 10 Dongs 26 Dongs 31 Dongs 11 Dongs 16 Dongs 13 Dongs 15 Dongs 2 Dongs
  24. Flacco has no one to throw to except Steve Smith, who is my age and currently injured. Cutler also has no one to throw to.
