  1. So if Russell is too hurt to play in the series, can the make a roster change?
  2. Come on, we're supposed to be past the superstition garbage. Your haircut means nothing.
  3. No, it's real. It's verified. He follows 573,000 people.
  4. I wish someone would create a desktop background of a bunch of great helmet rubbing photos. Here's one for the collage: http://i.imgur.com/sBDTIZP.jpg

  6. Not when they had previously ruled the play dead. I mean, the rule on the books(as silly as I think it is) was correct for Odor to score there, so the end result isn't super unjust, but umpire calling a play dead killing everything that's ongoing is not a fact that it's in doubt. Unless you have a replay review, the umpire's ruling is an eraser to anything that could be considered in progress. This. Much more eloquent than my reasoning. The Blue Jays’ other defense was that because the umpire called time before Rougned Odor came in to score, the play should have been dead. But umpires award bases on dead balls all the time, when it’s obvious that the runner would have reached it without a fuss. http://deadspin.com/i-still-cant-believe-the-rangers-nearly-won-on-that-pla-1736691888 Not that deadspin is some ultimate authority on the topic or anything, but I happen to think they're right.
  7. This is a good article. I was firmly in the "we should want the Mets" camp previously. I'm less sure now.
  8. I'm not gonna pretend I love a 2:30 start time, but like jersey said, it's one game out of 7. Sucks, but it is what it is.
  9. So I was debating bat flips with a Cards fan friend (that doesn't like them), but then he came across this...and I gotta admit, this is pretty boss.... http://sports.cbsimg.net/images/visual/whatshot/Tom-Lawless-Cardinals-Astros-Twins-bat-flip-090214.gif
  10. Yeah, I didn't know that when he first followed me though. So I did get a little excited at first. So when Ervin Santana started following me, I managed to remain calm.
  11. That's surprising considering it'd be a 5:07 local start if LA wins. If the TBS website is right, the Monday game at Wrigley is at 2:30CST, Wed and Thurs at 7pm CST, There's no Monday game at Wrigley... I mistyped...I meant Tuesday.
  12. We can't all parse data as quickly and efficiently as you.

  15. I also am a 2 time reject.
  16. Card fan buddy just said the same. I told him it wasn't superstition. It's reverence.
  17. Someone on twitter mentioned that that video board should now be called the "Schwarboard". SO LET IT BE KNOWN FOREVERMORE
  18. espn's coverage of our run is basically disgusting So I turned on 10pm Sportscenter, and they showed some Cubs teases, and had the background all Cubbie....and then said "but first lets talk about NY/LA". So they did that, I stuck around....they did the worst voice overs on the Cubs highlights...and then afterwards said "we'll have a lot more on baseball later in the show, especially from NY". [expletive] YOU ESPN
