    I like the coverage, I don't like the time between picks. Unfortunately one kinda comes with the other.

    Yeah, I can't see this catching on. There can't be that many people that want to watch these people babble on and on. I don't think Thursday afternoons were garnering a lot of ratings for ESPN anyways, so whatever ratings they get out of this will be a plus.

    Baseball America's latest blog posts seem to think that Vitters is going to fall to #3, and if he does, that the Cubs would take him over Parker. And the one right after that says that the Cubs and Parker were trying to work out a predraft deal for 2.35 mil. Yes, but it goes on to say if Vitters is there, that the Cubs will take him.

    Zambrano being a hothead doesn't really factor in to my thinking that we should still trade him before the deadline. Especially if the Cubs can't get back up to .500 here anytime soon. I know he says he wants to be with the Cubs forever and what-not, but we have a lot of young pitching potential, and not as much position player potential. I'd love to see what we could get for him.

    He was running. Looked like he sprained his knee. :D Ok yeah I'm not watching it.

    I've had more knee problems than I can count. Just using ice and painkillers, I used to be able to play football again the day after a sprain. I did miss a grand total of two days with a very severe sprain once, though. Baseball players don't tend to play through pain as well as football players though.

    Nobody is quite sure-he is feeling tenderness in his arm and doesn't really want to pitch right now, so they have put him on the DL. The move has been made now btw-Guzman to DL, retroactive to June 2nd, Gallagher up, and Novoa placed on the 60 day DL with a right humeral head fracture. http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/press_releases/press_release.jsp?ymd=20070606&content_id=2008847&vkey=pr_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc Raisin is on a roll. We'll never hear the end of it...

    i don't understand why people love z for stuff like this. Because he doesn't follow the "book" on what to say to the media, or how to act in general. It's endearing.....to a point. When he starts freaking out during games because he's sucking? That's when it loses its charm for me. i've been annoyed by his antics for a while now. needless to say, for me, this year has removed any charm he previously had. Yeah, I loved crazy Z when he was winning and pitching well. But when he sucks (like this year), all of a sudden that craziness just seems asinine.

    Actually, iirc, Barrett wasn't at the meeting. Well he was unavailable to the media before the game, but I think he was in the meeting...

    I'm gonna guess Eyre, Ohman, Jones, Izturis and Barrett. I don't think that there's any of the young guys that would have enough of an ego to feel like they could speak out against the manager, even in a players only meeting. EDIT: This is just my guess on names...I have no inside info here or anything.

    It was originally 5 and he got it reduced according to ESPN.

    I've stopped arguing the Grossman thing. Beating my head against a brick wall isn't a lot of fun. I'll just wait and let it play itself out. Honestly I suspect there's far more NFL fans that agree with Peter.
