In all seriousness, until Jones cools off. Jones is hitting .357/.424/.464 in July. The Cubs aren't going to hand Pie the CF job back unless and until Jones cools off. In all seriousness, Jones wasn't hot when Pie was getting jerked in and out of the lineup, and up and down from the minors. To stick with the Cubs, you better be good quickly. If you take time to find your stride, you're out of luck.

That or raise his trade value just enough before the deadline. To do that, you would have to assume the Cubs were content with Pagan/Pie in CF, I just can't make that assumption. There were content with it a few weeks back when he was nearly traded to the Marlins.

Then we'd have to make a master thread for A-Rod, Tejada (back when that was popular), Griffey, Jacque, Eyre...etc. If this thread dies off on it's own naturally, and Dunn discussion picks back up in the future for some reason, there's no problem with a new thread. -

It's amazing how popularity loosens nsbb guidelines. Yeah, some people on here can be dicks and everyone just looks the other way. The next version of the message board will have the ability for posters to "report" posts that are inappropriate or in violations of the guidelines. Until then, we have to go by what the mods see, or what is PM'd to us. I can't speak for other mods, but I haven't been online in a few hours, so I hadn't seen any of this. And I sure didn't get any PM's on the issue. We deal with things as we see them, but like you, we're only human. And as I've always said, just because you don't see a mod post about it in a thread, doesn't mean a problem isn't being dealt with by PM. -

OK guys, listen up. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a rumor being posted on this message board, as long as it's clearly labeled as such. The thread title says it's a rumor. The initial post says it's a rumor. So lay off. And I don't care how many posts you have or don't have. I don't see any reason for the amount of grief that is being thrown around in this thread. So lets stop the pissing match. -
There shouldn't be. He's been our best player for 3 years. Best position player. I'd argue Big Z as the best Cubs player though during that time period. Z only plays every 5 days though. I'll take Aramis.

Why the hell did he run the bases then? Wow, this coming from a fan of a team that has seen the likes of Kerry Wood, Mark Prior and Nomar Garciaparra play for them in the last 3 years, but Cliff Floyd is the most injury prone player I've ever seen. Yeah...Moises and Rondell White have to be in that discussion too. Maybe JD Drew? And one Mr. Ken Griffey Jr. When did JD Drew of Ken Griffey play for the Cubs? He didn't say the most injury prone Cub. He said most injury prone player.
