Gotta say, I don't think the Reds are gonna trade Dunn within the division...that eliminates the Brewers and the Cubs. -
I'd rather have the camera show Cuban, because that means the owner is taking an interest and is actually at the game. That would be a nice change.

I'm not sure that field conditions or pitching staff had anything to do with either the failed pop up or the missed pitchout anyway.

Any argument made in favor of Kendall took a hit long before last night. My arument was merely that with the choices of catchers currently available that Soto was the best option, but forgoing that, Kendall was no worse than Bowen or Hill, and possibly could be better. Last night did not back up that opinion unfortunately. I longed for Koyie Hill.

Listening to it now on the website... -Fired up...very excited -Good change of scenery...scuffled this year...just gotta find your holes...either sink or swim...definitely not gonna sink...feels rejuvenated -Loves playing the game...no better place to play than Chicago -Talked about the nuances that catcher notice and how they work with the pitching coach and manager...yadda yadda...excited to play for Lou...Cubs look like they have fun and play the game the right way -Physically fine...feels as good now at 33 as he did at 21...takes care of himself physically...even if you're scuffling you have to find ways to help the team win -Talked about Zambrano's emotion... Really a fluff interview.

I'm not sure that Piniella's rant had a huge effect on the team, but I can get behind any "Skip Bayless is a moron" thread. I think the beanball war with the Braves and the fist fight with the Padres provided more team-building than Lou's argument.

I did a summer internship in Milwaukee back in 1998, and I loved the atmosphere in and around County Stadium. I much preferred it to Miller Park. If there's another team in the central I root for, it's the Brewers (when they're not playing the Cubs and when we're not in a division race with them). -
I haven't seen this anywhere else, but Baseball Musings implys that Soto was sent down to make room for Kendall.
