  1. I am rooting for Alabama, Notre Dame, and Northwestern tomorrow. Yikes, that was hard to type.
  2. JBJ would fit in perfectly with the Cubs. 2016 was his best year, too.
  3. Florida going to lose at home to LSU? Awful.
  4. I love when any team puts a beatdown on Dook.
  5. I think we are due for one. The team has been around for 100 years.
  6. Fully endorse this as a Notre Dame fan. I fully endorse it as an A&M fan. I'd rather lose that game and know we didn't belong in the playoffs than get left out at #5 wondering if we were good enough.
  7. It would be good for Ohio State, too. There’s no rule that says they have to win the Big Ten championship to go to the playoff. A 6-0 O$U with wins over Indiana and TAMU is a playoff caliber team. A 5-0 Ohio State team is a playoff caliber team. They have the win over Indiana which is nice but if they only play 5 games that may hurt them when it comes to playoff discussion. If they don't play in the Big Ten championship does the conference get two teams in? Or does Ohio State go over whoever wins the championship game? All this probably is moot as I expect the conference to bend their rules and let the Buckeyes play anyway but it's interesting to think about.
  8. I think we should figure out a way to play tOSU like BYU & Coastal Carolina did. Either way someone will likely earn a playoff berth with a win.
  9. Is that supposed to be a gotcha? Ole Miss hasn't been blown out by anyone despite having literally the worst defense in the league. Their offense gives them a chance to win every game. TAMU's offense is middle of the pack in the SEC (OM: 563 yds a game v AM: 429 yds a game), so I think Ole Miss would have had a chance to win a shootout. I certainly don't have any grand misconceptions about A&M but I was just curious why you were so confident since I didn't see any good wins on your schedule. We've put up 40+ points 3 times and have a pretty good defense.
  10. Too bad, I think you could've taken them. I haven't been impressed. Somewhat on topic, my goodness has CBS been hosed this year. Feels like they're losing an SEC game every week and the ones they keep aren't any good. I'm sure many SEC fans view that as karma of sorts for refusing to pony up more cash after they expanded to 14 teams. TAMU certainly seemed to be a winnable game. Ole Miss’ offense gives them a chance to win any game. As bad as the Rebels defense is, I’m not sure the Aggies would win a shootout. I feel very confident in the LSU game on the 19th. I wouldn’t be surprised if LSU finds a way to duck out. They got smoked last week and Florida will smoke them this week. Ending the season with 3 or 4 straight blowouts would be a bad look. If LSU does duck out, then apparently there is a contingency in place for Ole Miss to play TAMU that weekend. I feel very confident What is the signature win for this Ole Miss season?
  11. Bad teams find ways to lose games.
  12. But Clemson beating Notre Dame is the only possible way those teams take 2 spots in the playoffs. BAMA is in. Ohio St is in. If BAMA beats Florida, that opens up a slot. If Notre Dame beats Clemson I have to think the Aggies absolutely have a shot but I’ll bet the the ACC gets two teams if Clemson wins. FWIW, I think Florida can beat BAMA which means two SEC teams. Ohio State is in danger of not playing enough games to qualify for the Big Ten championship game, no?
  13. So we are just letting Schwarber walk for nothing? The guy who was untradeable a season ago?
  14. [*] This doesn't make sense. At least one of ND or Clemson will make the playoff(barring something screwy like each team losing their remaining reg season games). I also can't imagine you'd rather face Clemson with Lawrence than Notre Dame in a playoff. Not even thinking about potential opponents. Making the playoff would be new ground for A&M so that's where my mind is at the moment. No matter who you play it's going to be a tough opponent.
  15. As an Aggie that loathes Notre Dame I'm not 100% sure I should root for ND to beat Clemson again. If A&M wins out and that happens I would think we have to make the playoff. But If Clemson smacks them around in their last game of the season I would think we still have a good chance getting in. A late loss combined with their signature win coming against a Clemson team that was missing Trevor Lawrence will weaken their argument. I just hope Florida finishes strong since that is our big win. And I also wonder if Alabama would make the CFP if they lose to Florida in the SEC championship game. I have to think they would especially since they beat us early in the season. But the Aggie in me knows that we are either going to lose a game down the stretch that we should win or if we win out something will happen to keep us one spot out of the playoff. Lol.
  16. Just lose out so maybe the idiots running this team will clean house.
  17. New ownership is needed. Virginia and the rest of the McCaskeys are utter failures too. I doubt they’ll sell, so I guess the question is, do the McCaskeys have a “Rocky” in the family? They prefer Mickey. http://deadshirt.net/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/rockyiiimickey-768x416.png
  18. Turned the game off early in the 2nd quarter. Mad at myself for not doing so sooner.
  19. I think people are putting too much into the "but he didn't start in college" thing. First of all he only played one season and if I'm not mistaken FSU was pretty deep. He was the 6th Man of the Year for the ACC. Plus the NBA drafts more on potential where a college coach is worried about the present for obvious reasons. That would be an issue in football, for sure. But I don't expect anyone in this draft to walk in day 1 and be a big time player.
  20. And how does this affect Week 12 of the College football season? Jameis got rich playing in college. Everyone knows that. So rich he had to steal crab legs from the grocery store.
  21. Report: Warriors considering trade for Bulls' Carter, No. 4 pick
  22. Theo Epstein to replace Ryan Pace? (Yes, I’m joking.)
  23. I’d bet he’s done with baseball. He’s already earned a trip to Cooperstown. Time for a new challenge.
  24. Thanks for your service but it’s probably time. Same with Maddon.
