  1. You think another coach is going to get some of these humps to magically play defense? Vooch and Coby need to go. Replace them with guys that understand there are two sides to the floor and hopefully play a full (or mostly full) season with Ball & Caruso and the defense will be fine.
  2. $100 says the Cubs don't lose today.
  3. Cubs are on pace to go 162-0.
  4. Lonzo now officially done for the season. No surprise, though. 3 regular season and probably no more than 5 or 6 playoff games left anyway.
  5. Crazy thing is Jalen Wilson came in averaging a double-double in the tournament yet he was NOT one of the record five players to get one tonight.
  6. They shouldn’t mention K at all tomorrow.
  7. No way tomorrow’s game is better than UNC-Dook but I’m going to enjoy the hell out of it. Got a friend whose son starts for KU so if they win I’ll be super happy for them. Wonderful people. But if Carolina wins I win $250 on a $50 bet. Plus I’ve liked them since I was a kid.
  8. Post your Venmo and we can make sure you have enough cash to go out drinking every night and report back with more drunk coaches reports. My wife would not appreciate that. I actually had a pretty cool conversation with Porter Moser and some guy who’s assistant SEC basketball commissioner (something like that). CBS and lots of politics keeping OU and Texas from joining the SEC right away. Ah, ex Texas A&M assistant Porter Moser. :) I wish those politics would have kept Texas out of the SEC permanently.

  10. It's way too early to judge the Patrick Williams pick. Even if it turns out to be a bust who would you have taken in that spot? My biggest issue with Donovan is that he refuses to bench Vooch late in games. I'm no genius but he's pretty worthless in crunch time. He doesn't rebound particularly well and he's not good defensively. All the shots are coming from Deebo or Zach so why not put Thompson in?
  11. This thread is off the rails with dumb takes now. Jump off the bandwagon permanently, you ninnies.
  12. Buck the Fills
  13. Expect it to be a financial loss because it will be even if they make the playoffs.
  14. I hate that I’m rooting for Tech but horsefeathers Dook.
  15. Houston didn't have a quad 1 win until their conference championship game. They were 0-4 before then.
  16. Yeah, Lonzo is sorely missed but I think even with him this team is missing what’s needed to win a title. I think we need to upgrade from Vooch but have no idea how feasible that really is. DeRozan seems to be running out of gas after carrying the team for so long. Zach clearly isn’t 100% and that is affecting his game IMO. Coby is what he is but I think it’s reasonable to expect continued growth from Ayo and PWill still has a lot of room for improvement too.
  17. Jerome Tang is being hired at K-State.
  18. The Ricketts are probably calling to get the details at this minute. Don't the announcers just travel on the team charter? What added expense does it cost to put them on the road? Obviously lodging and per diem but that can't be that much. What am I missing?
  19. I saw his right foot touch the center court line before he fell down. That's why I thought it was a violation. The lack of a whistle actually ended up helping TCU though since the clock ran out before the ball was dunked. Had the call been made Arizona has the ball side out with a chance for one last shot. Yeah, one or the other should have been called. Of course, TCU still had a timeout that they should have called once the guy got trapped in the corner. And it didn’t end up mattering, but the clock briefly stopped at 2.2 seconds also. Would have been interesting had he got the dunk (or another shot) off with a couple tenths left. No idea why Jamie Dixon didn't call a timeout there if he had one left. Monumentally stupid.

  21. Technically they did, would have been free throws Personally I thought it was a backcourt violation. Miles got himself in deep horsefeathers and kinda flopped when he felt some contact trying to draw a whistle. Would have been awful to see him bailed out with FT’s at that point. And I say this as a fan of him as a player. First saw him play AAU ball 3 years ago. His team was stacked and he was only a 3* but he was the most impressive player that day in my opinion.
  22. And Texas only shot 12. That’s quite a disparity.
  23. horsefeathers Baylor
  24. Ma! I’m done with my segment.
