  7. Jimmy Ballgame!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. Meh. This game means WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY more to them than it does us. But I do hate losing.
  9. I blame you and cyno. :hello:
  10. DAMNIT! No more perfecto. :banghead:
  11. I didn't jinx Z yesterday by saying "no-hitter" about a dozen times after the 5th inning. Do what you do. I'm obviuosly not going to police, but its your decision. LILLY HAS A PERFECT GAME Obviously if he walks someone or gives up a hit, it's going to be my fault... from 175 miles away, or however far it is, it will be my fault... so feel free to blame me. I already posted that. :-"
  12. And this is a prime example of why I don't understand how he is so well liked on here.
  13. Lilly has a perfect game going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. Saturday would be a great day to clinch, although I will be in the stands watching Texas A&M play Miami.
  15. I was thinking World Series. He was apparently talking first round. Excuse me, please. I am having a case of the Mondays.
  16. He doesn't think we would sweep?!?!?!?!
  17. Seriously? Yes, seriously. The Cubs without Wrigley Field just wouldn't be the Cubs to me. Wow. Even more puzzling about this is the fact that you don't even live anywhere near Chicago... Even if you did, though, I still wouldn't get it. [-X What the?? How would he not living anywhere near Chicago mean anything at all? I was raised in Chicago. I lived in downtown Chicago for a year. I'm a Cubs fan. I currently live in Colorado. Does this mean that I don't get to have an opinion about Wrigley Field? Because he doesn't even get to see many games there? I thought that would be fairly clear. I don't know what the part about "getting to have an opinion about Wrigley Field" even means, but being a fan of a ballpark over being a fan of a team makes little sense to me. Being a fan of a ballpark that you only see on TV makes even less sense. Actually, on the other hand, that could be a reason someone like me would be more accepting of a new park, as I see Wrigley's pitfalls every time I go while on TV Wrigley is just a beautiful park and nothing more. That said, I'd miss it and hope they build the new park, whenever that may be, on the same site. Play a year or two at Miller or Comiskey, I don't care. So it makes more sense to you to root for a uniform? To me it's all a part of what makes the Cubs special. To change any of that would make me rethink my undying loyalty.
  18. I'll see if the Concorde is ready to leave D/FW in the next 15 minutes and get back to you.
  19. Sure. Can you swing by Dallas and pick me up?
  20. Are you running for office by any chance?
  21. Unfortunately, I do. :)
  22. A discussion on the other thread got me to thinking (which can someimes be dangerous). I'd be curious to see what the age breakdown is for those who want a new stadium vs those who want to stay at Wrigley. I'm not really looking for any arguments here. Just post "new stadium" or "Wrigley" with your age. Me- Wrigley, 35
  23. Seriously? Yes, seriously. The Cubs without Wrigley Field just wouldn't be the Cubs to me. Wow. Even more puzzling about this is the fact that you don't even live anywhere near Chicago... Even if you did, though, I still wouldn't get it. I was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, so I have spent many a day at Wrigley. Personally, I don't understand how anyone could not love Wrigley that much. It is legendary, a baseball icon. I'm not even a Red Sox fan but I would be pissed if they tore down Fenway. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I like the history of great old ballparks like these. It's more than just a game to me. Would you be OK if they took away the pinstripes? Or changed their colors to green or orange? There are some things that should not be messed with.
  24. Yeah, that totally sucked. They said you had to go to ESPN.com to watch the whole thing. How soapdropping stupid.
