  1. Have the Bears given Hester a new contract yet?
  2. Let's go, Astros. (clap clap clapclapclap)
  3. Filthy McNasty pitch right there for strike 2.
  4. At least Gaudin kept him in the ballpark.
  5. How does Uggla not have 3 errors yet? Have we not hit any grounders to second?
  6. I think so. There was an article in the Trib saying his MRI was negative.
  7. Wait, he's so big that he's more than just a Cub? He's a Cubs?
  8. The Chiefs' acting manager was Carmelo Martinez? Wow, now there's a blast from the past.
  9. So this could turn out to be a positive in the long run if this forces Hendry to add a guy like Fuentes. This blister is not going to keep Wood out forever.
  10. I think most Cub fans realize Bartman isn't to blame. Is the rest of this world that can't let it die.
  11. I'm positive that our offense has sucked lately.
  12. No, I can't say that I do. So you don't remember when we had the best record in baseball a few weeks ago? Did you have massive head trauma between then and now?
  13. Yeah, that was fun.
  14. Soap Dropping works. Soapdropping it is then. Can we make up fun edits for the other big curse words, too? Depends on whether my proposed changes to the word filter go through... We'll see. :D

  16. Is "forking" a cute variation that is considered unacceptable? If so, I'll go right to soapdropping. Don't want to get banned.
  17. That's like winning a gold medal at the Special Olympics. Is that really anything to brag about?
  18. We can work around Howry. We can't work around not scoring any runs.
  19. BINGO! Seriously? Giving up a run in the bottom of the 8th in a one run game is not a problem? Would it have been a problem if Aramis gets a hit in the 9th? Did it even matter? The hitters have been pathetic lately. Are you going to rip Harden for giving up a HR to a guy that's hitting .250 on the year and had never hit a HR in his major league career before? Randy Johnson was far from overpowering last night. We should have been able to score at least 2 or 3 runs off of him. Who knows if it mattered? There's no way to know how the 9th would've played out if it was a one run game. And comparing Harden's run and Howry's run is pretty ridiculous. By your logic though Howry could've come in and given up 6 runs and it wouldn't have been a problem. How does one run change the way we batted in the 9th? You guys are letting your hatred for Howry blind you to the disaster that is our offense right now. I'm not a big Howry fan, but he is not the problem at the present time. First of all Aramis would've probably been walked. Several things could've of played out differently. Look, I'm not saying the offense wasn't the problem last night, but to say Howry wasn't either is just flat wrong. What? They would have walked him with 2 outs and no one on base? Theriot was on 3rd. Forgot about Theriot. So they walk Aramis to get to Soto and then what? he hasn't been hitting anything lately either. He was a whopping 0 for 3 last night.
