i'd love that! Me, too. I have a friend who works in their ticket office. I sent him an e-mail today asking him to tell Nolan Ryan & the rest of the Rangers front office that they must sign Woody. ;)

I'd say the bolded indicates that DonnieD's source must not be affiliated with the Cubs. If the Braves are just a bluff now, then the bluffee kinda has to be out of the loop, right? That points the finger at the Pads' FO, or perhaps Peavy's agent. Given that, I'd say it's noteworthy that desipio/Dolan was citing a Pads FO person for his insider info earlier Tuesday. Is the same "inside" person behind both tidbits? Are there two different "inside" people leaking the same basic info? Or is this all a sinister and inhumane plot to toy with our emotions? I bet The Shadow knows. -

Why would the Padres want Lee? They wouldn't Agree, but if Lee were to be traded Hoffpaiur could play there. Or we could sign Tex. -

That gets REAL old for me, especially coming from Astros fans. Um, what exactly has your team ever won? A pennant. Three years ago, in fact. And how many World Series games did they win? The same number the Cubs have won in the past 60 years or so.

I wish we could get rid of Soriano, but that's not going to happen. He better not lead off next year. I love what Edmonds/Johnson did for us this year, but we can't expect that again next year. I wish Pie would be given a legitimate shot to play everyday, but I'm relatively certain that will never happen unless he bats over .300 the first week of the season. Fuku should spend the next 4 months in America trying to learn how to hit American pitchers. We need a real SS. We need to examine DLee's role going forward. He should either be a #2 hitter or no higher than 6th. What power he did have has completely left him. And that's just the position players. God knows what we need to do with the pitching staff.
