He's no Gold Glover, but I don't think he's that brutal at 3B. The Rangers are stacked with very good infielders. Plus it's not like the Cubs are running great glove men out there now. With Blalock you get a big bat. He can also play some 1B and would be a nice stick off the bench when Aramis gets back. -
So maybe the Giants will take him? If he can play basketball the Knicks would be interested.

Seems like I read this somewhere before.

5/21: Cobs (Marshall) @ Cards (Wainwright); 7:15 pm CT, CSN

Can Hoff play LF? -
Doesn't Blalock play 1B too?
-
Aramis is going to be out for a while and it is painfully obvious that there is no one on the roster who can play there every day. So when does Hendry start thinking about making a deal, especially with how poor the offense has been lately?

In what parallel universe are the Angels in the NL? I think he meant AL.

From Buster's ESPN.com article:

I'm going to be pissed if this happens.

Oh happy day. Cotts is warming up.
-
Looked like Bradley was limping. Time to DL him and bring up the savior, Jake Fox.
-
I've had enough of the C0bs.
-
HOORAY! Another weak IF groundout.
-
Good call, Jimmy The Geek. if i can reverse jinx em so much the better still no way we score some runs I see what you did there.

Good call, Jimmy The Geek.

Should Cobs be spelled with a 0 instead of an o in honor of the lack of offense?
-
We probably should have went with Adam Dunn. I honestly would have loved it then be angry every time he K's, which is approx. 200 times a year still adam dunn is so lovable, dunno how you can hate the guy Bradley is K-ing a ton too. Only when he's not grounding out weakly to the right side of the infield.
-
It'd be nice if Bradley starts earning his paycheck one of these days.
-
This dude needs to start earning his paycheck NOW!

Why carry 12 pitchers?
Old Style replied to soapy's topic in MLB Draft, International Signings, Amateur Baseball
Didn't ESPN.com run an article the other day about MLB teams using the DL creatively to keep from having to released high priced players that haven't been living up to their contract? We could do that for Patton if they're so worried about losing him. There's a minimum # of days he has to be on the active roster in order to be able to send him down next year. If memory serves, it's all of them. Basically, any time he spends on the DL this year, he would have to make up on the active roster next year before we would be able to send him down. If you trust Wikipedia as a source, it's only 90 days. -
