  1. I am intrigued with the thought of Aramis moving to 1B.
  2. Didn't ESPN.com run an article the other day about MLB teams using the DL creatively to keep from having to released high priced players that haven't been living up to their contract? We could do that for Patton if they're so worried about losing him. There's a minimum # of days he has to be on the active roster in order to be able to send him down next year. If memory serves, it's all of them. Basically, any time he spends on the DL this year, he would have to make up on the active roster next year before we would be able to send him down. If you trust Wikipedia as a source, it's only 90 days.

  4. How many 19 year old position prospects, playing in class A for the Cubs, have put up the type of numbers Vitters is putting up? I'm more concerned with bettering our chances of winning the World Series this year than having a good third baseman 2-3 years from now. I realize it's a risk, but to me it's a smart risk. It's not like we're getting Ernie Broglio in return.
  5. How many can't miss prospects have the Cubs held on to instead of trading that have turned out to be complete busts? I'll take a proven major league player over a low level prospect any day of the week. Especially when the major league player is a dominant pitcher.
  6. You should get that checked out. Searchiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing...SEEK AND DESTROY!  Your dancing avatar went perfectly with your post. That kid is dancing on the grave of Jack Buck.

  8. If he was free, he'd already be a Cub.
  9. Does anyone else have Metallica's "Seek & Destroy" pumping through their head while thinking about this series?
  10. I really like the sound of that. How do you say "Nasty Boys" in Spanish?
  11. But CSN didn't show any of it?
  12. Did CSN not show Lou get into it with a fan behind home plate after he finally pulled Gregg? I looked through the game thread and didn't even see it mentioned. The Astros broadcast caught the whole thing.
  13. At least I get to watch the Astros broadcast. Better than nothing, I guess.
  14. Does Enn Tea = Rick Telander of the Sun Times?
  15. Bradley's suspension reduced to 1 game. How mice of MLB to announce that sfter he takes today's game off. http://espn.go.com/chicago/story?id=4167312
  16. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
