I'm surprised he has time to comment. He must not have female co-workers to sexually harass at the MLB Network.

    Sammy Sosa was a cheater.

Uh oh. I'm sure this is wrong. I'm not sure why, but I'm sure the next 5 people to reply will tell me.

How many PA's qualifies a hitter for the batting crown?

THIS TEAM IS ON FIRE! We should have fired Lou months ago.

So how much of his contract would we have to pay?

Jordan brothers drop $56K in Vegas in one day and brag about it on Twitter. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/os-jordan-brothers-in-vegas-20100823,0,7972534.story

I don't like bunting your #3 hitter in the first inning (or any inning, really), but other than that I don't see a lot about Sandberg that I don't like. Granted, I haven't spent a lot of time researching or contemplating the issue.

no Well they made a little announcement when he and Bobby Cox exchanged lineup cards. They recognized both managers.

Well at least Infante is on my fantasy team. :banghead:

That's weird. I wonder what happened with Trammell and Hendry.
  16. Old Style
With Quade being named to manage the rest of the season, I would have to think that doesn't bode well for Trammell next season.
  17. Old Style
Why Quade? I guess this rules out Trammell for next year.

I tend to agree with you, but you're barking up the wrong tree around here. The cool people love Sammy and hate Ryno on NSBB.

Good guess. I am 14,802 now.

I like this news if for no other reason than it drives N&G crazy.

    based on what?

I'm profoundly disappointed that this team played like [expletive] this season. Oh well.

Wouldn't that be true regardless of this possible trade? Or would Lee have returned on a short-term (cheap) deal? I think there's a chance Lee could have come back on a shorter and/or cheaper deal, but you're right that the basic point holds true regardless of whether or not he's dealt. If he is traded though, he's probably not coming back, and that's one less option and leaves them completely barren at the position heading into the offseason. Why would he not come back (assuming we want him back)? I thought he said he didn't want to uproot his family. Well he can go play for the Braves for a few months and have a shot at another ring and then come back to the Cubs next year. That way his family doesn't have to go anywhere.
