  1. Don't Baba Booey it.
  2. Great thread. Would read again. :good:
  3. This discussion takes me back to the FJM article from 1-2 years ago basically saying that "gritty" and "maximum effort" players are basically bad players doing what they can to make up for the fact that they're white.
  4. I booked a trip to New Orleans for September 17-19. That pretty much guarantees that the 9/18 game against the Saints will not happen as scheduled.

  6. I'd rather he bring sexy back.
  7. I think I would have stopped flying after the first plane crash. Wow, that is awful. :( Apparently his dad was the pilot both times.
  8. Did anyone else play the game "Smear The Queer" as a kid? I hadn't really heard that term in a while, so it reminded me of that. But I do agree that this was a cool move by the organization.
  9. I admit that I didn't like Len at first (and I still like Pat Hughes better), but he has definitely grown on me. Glad to hear this news. Never been a big Brenly fan, though.
  10. Fixed it Hey, we lasted longer than Texas. ;)
  11. Aggies falling apart in the CWS like the good old days. :banghead:
  12. I have a friend who posted on FB in the first inning about how Z was headed for a meltdown. After Guillen was ejected, I responded that if he put an O before the Z and a ZIE afterwards that his status update would still be accurate.
  13. Well at least Texas is out.
  14. Whether or not you believe Alou was going to make the catch (I think he would have, but I can understand why some think he would not have caught the ball), I cannot fathom how anyone can look at all the pictures and still say that Bartman was not reaching over the railing. That seems very obvious to me. No, he wasn't the only idiot reaching for the ball but he was the one that actually touched it. Therefore no one knows beige jacket guy's name. Who knows how things would have changed had he not interefered with the ball. But the Cubs still should have won that game.
  15. :banghead: Frustrating loss last night. Put up a 4 spot in the top of the first and we gave it right back in the bottom of the inning. After that, both pitchers settled in and looked very good. I wish Stripling was able to go back out for the 9th. He may have been able to get us another at bat. But at 114 pitches, it was probably the right decision.
  16. I know what my idiot friend saw. They must have replayed the Hee Seop Choi collision when the Yankees were last at Wrigley.
  17. Did Carlos Pena really get carted off in an ambulance? Just got that in a text.
  18. Don't let the lack of a national seed fool you. Most experts thought we deserved one. We lost our ace right before the Big 12 tournament, but we have 2 other very good pitchers (starters) left on our staff. When we are hitting well, we are damn tought to beat. Our problem has been inconsistent bats. We've been hitting pretty well lately, though. I look forward to the game Sunday night.
  19. Has this been posted already? http://img2.ranker.com/user_node_img/6397/1000131024/full/jordan-and-pippen-s-thoughts-photo-u1.jpg
  20. OK, that makes more sense.
