  1. Crazy finish.
  2. Did they not review the leap out of bounds near the goal line? That looked like a TD to me. Questionable play call on the final play.
  3. Not a fan of the two-tone numbers on the ASU jerseys, but the helmets are sick.
  4. Let the castrations begin!! very odd motivational technique but effective.... I love Jackie Sherrill.
  5. Here is an interesting article from a lawyer/sportswriter about the potential lawsuits. http://outkickthecoverage.com/why-baylors-claims-against-the-sec-have-no-merit.php
  6. A&M doesn't care if any of them sue. In fact, I'm pretty sure the administration thinks Baylor & Co. are bluffing and that no lawsuits would be filed. It's not up to us, though. For some strange reason, Mike Slive wants to maintain some kind of grand image for his conference and doesn't want to get dragged into any kind of lawsuit. That's stupid for a couple of reasons. One, he should spend more time worrying about schools breaking NCAA rules in his conference. That gives them a much bigger black eye in the public than some stupid lawsuit that would never go anywhere. Two, he is weakening himself and the SEC at this point. Is he really going to let Baylor push him around and keep the conference from adding a school/TV market that they want to add? If so, any further expansion is going to be a huge mess because any other team from a conference potentially losing a member to the SEC can just threaten to sue and the process will be shut down. From what I hear, until late yesterday the "higher ups" in the SEC really believed that the whole Big 12 situation would get resolved & the conference would be saved satisfying the league peons. They didn't believe that OU would actually leave. They're starting to understand that OU is pretty much out the door at this point. I imagine that in the near future they will realize that they need to go ahead and just invite us unconditionally & see if Baylor is bluffing as most people suspect. Baylor, meanwhile, needs to send a contingent of people to every Big East school so they can get on their knees and start smiling like donuts because there seems to be a chance that the conference would be willing to add the Bears along with KU, K-State, and Missouri (should the Big 10 or SEC not come calling for them). I can't imagine all these lawsuit threats is making them look like an attractive target to other conferences looking to expand.
  7. Okie Lite is very good, but Arizona is very bad.
  8. When asked by the commissioner of the conference if we were committed BEFORE NEBRASKA & COLORADO LEFT we said we were as it was presently constructed. When they decided to leave, we flirted with the SEC but ultimately chose to stay in the Big 12 (much to the chagrin of many Aggies, myself included) and try to make it work with 10 members. At the time President Loftin released that statement, we were planning on staying. That comment was made 6-8 months before the LHN was announced. What was ultimately included in the contract was not what the other conference members agreed to ahead of time. There is some question as to whether or not we even signed the new TV deal. I have yet to see proof either way. We have followed every process to the letter in order to leave the conference. Baylor is threatening a lawsuit because a) they know that the SEC doesn't want to be involved in any legal disputes no matter how baseless & b) now that OU is ready to leave they know that they are going to get left out in the cold. ANY LAWSUIT THEY MAY FILE WOULD BE ABSOLUTELY BASELESS AND THEY WOULD NEVER WIN. I can sue you guys for any number of reasons. That doesn't mean I have a case. Mike Slive & Co. need to nut up and admit us without any conditions. I doubt any lawsuits are ever filed. What Baylor needs to realize is that the longer they hold up this process the more they push OU out the door to the Pac-12/16. When that happens, the conference is done. If they would just let us go and focus their efforts on keeping OU in the league, they could add BYU in our place and they would still have a seat at the big boy table. But it doesn't appear that they're going to figure that out in time.
  9. I agree that we should have gone last year, but things have definitely changed since then whether you want to believe it or not. You call it throwing a tantrum, I call it securing our future. Nebraska & Colorado did it without a problem. It seems like everyone else is trying to make us special. No one threatened to sue last year. OU is obviously talking to other conferences right now, but no one is threatening to sue there. There is NOTHING we are reneging on. When asked if we were committed to the conference last year, our president said we were committed AS IT WAS AT THE TIME. That was before Nebraska & Colorado left. And OU is obviously looking alsewhere. Are they throwing a tantrum and reneging too?
  10. Need to feel special? That's laughable. We just want to go to the SEC, which will be better off for us. The league can survive if the other 9 stay. They would just need to add 1 team to get them back to where they were before this started. We are not causing anyone's downfall. At this point, OU will seal the fate of the conference but everyone knows that ultimately it is all the fault of the longhorns. They are the reason Nebraska & Colorado left last year, why we are leaving this year, and why Oklahoma is considering leaving. If you don't believe that, then I have no idea what fantasy world you are living in.
  11. PRAISE JEEBUS! :)
  12. I hear you. I mean, a school [expletive] up another school's well-being out of pure self-interest and maybe a little spite. Who would do such a thing? [expletive]. We're not [expletive] up anybody's well being. The Big 12-2-1 was very clear that we were easily replaceable a week or so ago. Baylor says they won't sue the SEC if OU commits to the Big 12. How the [expletive] is that our problem?
  13. I wouldn't put too much stock in what the Waco paper is reporting. I wonder where there sources are located. I may be wrong, but I think as long as Baylor signs a waiver the SEC wouldn't require it from any other school. Bad thing is I don't see that happening anytime soon. I have a feeling this could get ugly. I sold my tickets to the A&M-Baylor game in College Station a month or so ago, but I now regret that decision and am looking for new ones. I want to make sure they hear me among the other 80,000 Aggies there expressing our displeasure with their shenanigans.
  14. Iowa State is absolutely screwed. Not that they shouldn't be. Do they bring anything to the table? I've heard rumors that they would go with Kansas and Kansas State to the Big East. That would get them to 24 basketball teams and 12 FBS teams, I believe.
  15. Ha! Supposedly Baylor is standing down now. We shall see.
  16. What are they going to get out of this? They are hoping money I guess. Trying to leverage this into A&M's exit fee. There's not going to be an exit fee when OU leaves, which becomes more and more likely the longer Baylor drags this out.
  17. http://www.secdigitalnetwork.com/NEWS/tabid/473/Article/227814/statement-from-dr-bernie-machen.aspx
  18. What are they going to get out of this?
  19. [expletive] Baylor and [expletive] Ken Starr. Those assholes have gone back on their word and are now threatening to sue the SEC and Mike Slive personally. Therefore, there will be no press conference today. I heard that the vote was 12-0 to admit us, but the Baylor situation has halted the actual invite. Their only chance to be in a BCS conference next season is if they let us go and let Texas replace us ASAP. The longer this drags out the more they ensure that OU will jump ship. When they do, the conference is toast. Then Baylor will be lucky to get into the Sun Belt.
  20. Ouch. Suspensions, I assume?
  21. SEC presidents are meeting tonight. Looks like I will finally get my official A&M to the SEC press conference tomorrow.
  22. LOL @ Baylor. They didn't seem too concerned about these cherished rivalries when TCU, SMU, Rice, and Houston got left out of the Big 12.
  23. I get to watch the game, so that means the Cubs are going to lose. Sorry, Matt Garza.
  24. The Mob is awesome. That's probably the only thing I miss from the old Southwest Conference days.
