Conner Brewer is not a bad drop from Kiel. That fact that they are fully in on DGB, with very legit changes on Peat and Agholor is awesome too. Finally some OOS recruiting. I love this new young staff. Why are you so excited about OOS recruiting? I'm not saying to never recruit outside Texas, but you can pretty much cover 90% or more of your needs in state, especially when you are the Longhorns.

I will now sing "Bear Down, Chicago Bears" at the top of my lungs with extra emphasis on the "You're the pride & joy of Illinois" part in celebration of this move that will undoubtedly put us over the top. You're kidding, right? The only one engaging in ridiculous hyperbole over this guy is you. Yes, I've been joking all along. I thought that was pretty obvious.

For the record, it doesn't say that we ARE the best in the NL. Just that we have the power & the speed to be. Does this part bug you too? Most of the games aren't even on WGN anymore. And spend any time at all on this board and you'll know the following quote is 100% untrue.

I used to have a cassette tape (anyone remember those?) when I was a kid that had all Cubs/baseball related songs on there that I used to listen to all the time. I think it came out in the mid to late 80's and "Go Cubs Go" was on there. It brings back some great memories for me, too. But the bottom line is that the song is only played when the Cubs win, so no one should ever bitch about that song being played at Wrigley.

I [expletive] love hearing "Go Cubs Go". Sure it's a cheesy song but who the F really cares besides a few miserable pricks? The "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" crap needs to go away like Amy Winehouse, though.
