  1. The same was said for many years about A&M and Texas.
  2. that stupid kid didn't need to come out and hug him LOL
  3. Watching at my desk at work and I got a bit misty. Glad no one saw me.
  4. And he ends his career with a K. :clapping:
  5. Why did you have to take a shot at Prior in this thread?
  6. It does feel bittersweet. I am glad that he will retire a Cub though. A perfect ending would be to come in and pitch a scoreless 8th with 3 k's. I'd bet he wants to retire after the game to get one last chance to pitch in front of the Wrigley faithful. If that happens I sincerely hope we gets a standing ovation. The question is not IF he will get a standing ovation. The question is how long it will last. 34 minutes
  7. It would be great if he could strike out the side to end his career. Or at least strike out the last batter he faces.
  8. Well I guess Ryne Ween told you morons where you can stuff it.
  9. Very, very far away.
  10. Anybody have his e-mail? Maybe the purple shirt guy does? baseballjesus@cubs.com
  11. The last two posts from Nuts&Gum are spot on. I love DRose, but it will take A LOT for him to surpass Jordan.
  12. Probably not, especially since "this board" is comprised of individuals who have different opinions. In this thread, for example, quite a few people stick up for Dale. And just because you complain about something he does in one game doesn't mean that you don't like him as manager.
  13. DRose out 8-12 months, says doctor. http://espn.go.com/chicago/nba/story/_/id/7934110/doctor-says-chicago-bull-derrick-rose-8-12-months-acl-surgery
  14. D'oh! It's been fixed.
  15. Just embrace it. I have no problem with my meatballiness. I just want to be accepted by you, the greatest poster in the history of the Cubs.
  16. I hope my response wasn't too meatball.
  17. The decision to bunt as well as his reasoning. To stay out of the double play? He knew they would walk LaHair so that decision takes the bat out of the hands of your two best hitters and puts the game on the shoulders of Soriano, who is hitting like Stevie Wonder right now. Inexcusable decision.
  18. Surprised this hasn't been started yet after last night's idiocy. This makes me want to punch babies. EDIT for link: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/baseball/cubs/ct-spt-0515-cubs-cardinals-chicago--20120515,0,6733866.story
  19. The decision to have Castro bunt was Sandberg-esque.
  20. You're going to keep running that lame joke into the ground forever, aren't you?
  21. I can't believe those greedy FSU people are trying to destroy the ACC. Why won't they think of the children?
  22. meatball
