Apparently the Big 12 Conference's official website recognizes 3 football championships for A&M, so I guess that's why the other 2 were added to the wall. It is riduclously stupid and every Aggie I know feels the same way. Not sure who made the asinine decision to include those "championships" but it needs to be reversed ASAP. But no one cares about Texas Tech/State/A&M so we probably shouldn't post about this on a Big 10 message board.

The Cowboy fans are going to be unbearable around here for a while, especially since they should win next weekend against Seattle. The Bears better win the Monday night game here in a few weeks.

I wasn't the one that originally posted about A&M on this thread so obviously someone cares. it was more of a "look how these inferiority complex ridden hillbillies from the south spent the last nickel they made moonshining," post as opposed to "you know who is a relevant college football program? texas a&m. let's discuss." And I responded with the FACT that A&M had absolutely nothing to do with that crap. I have no idea what school you went to or even if you went to that college but if someone was making them look bad wouldn't you want to set the record straight even if, God forbid, some anonymous internet poster may not care about it?

You'd be quite wrong, but I imagine shnsajax will claim they don't. Now that you're in a different conference, is your fight song still about UT? Nothing has changed. I'm sure their fight song that mentions A&M hasn't changed either. What's your point? And for the record, we were perfectly willing to continue the rivalry. It is the horns being the spoiled brats refusing to play us anymore. There are plenty of rivlary games between teams in different conferences. Hell, Texas & OU were not in the same conference until the mid-90's yet they played a rivalry game every year.

You know good and damn well that we do not refer to ourselves as "Aggie Nation". Some of the young players may be using that term now, but it's obvious that Texas A&M did not sanction that billboard. My guess is that it's probably a butthurt Baylor fan as payback for the billboard we put up in Waco when they were trying to block our exit. Or maybe one of your people upset over the "This is SEC Country" billboards all over the state, including in Austin.

If it's no big deal, Sumlin should just suspend them for Florida b/c it's the first game instead of coming up with stupid excuses. I agree. I would have held them out of the Florida game but it's not my decision to make. I also think it's not nearly as big of a deal as you guys want to make it. Then again you're probably just trying to get me riled up. Either way, I don't really give a [expletive]. It's not like we're going to win more than 6-7 games this year anyway.

Look, only one of the two guys is going to play and he is a safety. The one area on our crappy defense where we have depth is the secondary. We're going to win games by outscoring people, not shutting them down. It really isn't a big deal. If he was a starting QB or RB, then I could see your point.

So [expletive] pissed. That [expletive] town of Shreveport better get leveled by Isaac. We now play 12 straight weeks, including a 6-game stretch where 5 of the games are on the road. As if it wasn't going to be tough enough this season. Really a bummer since those 2 suspended players will now miss an actual game. No coach would move a suspension for the first game to the middle of the season to so obviously have a full squad for a tougher game, right? No, they'll sit out the LA Tech game as planned. One of them isn't even in the 2-deep right now so it's not a huge deal.

And the LA Tech AD has admitted that poor ticket sales was part of their decision to postpone the game. And yes, I'm irrationally pissed that I have to wait an extra 9 days for my football season to start.
