    The only thing I'm afraid of is if we don't get the call in the next couple years we might reach a point again where the team is on the upswing and nobody is giving up their seats. Obviously that is a good problem to have, but I just want to make it to the front of the line before it happens! Same Which is exactly why I would do everything necessary to get tickets when my name is called. Last I heard the wait list was over 120K. When (if?) we get good, those tickets will be scarce and worth a ton.

    I'm not ready to be called yet. I'm hoping for 2015, but could probably manage by the spring of 2014.

    I was told by a season ticket holder that a bleacher seat goes for around $3K for the season. As opposed to $800 in 1998.

    [expletive]. You're hired by the team to broadcast to their fans. The announcers SHOULD be homers. ESPN or Fox announcers should remain neutral. Kasper isn't neutral in the broadcasts. He clearly calls the game from the perspective of what the Cubs need to do to win and the changes in his tone definitely reflect a rooting interest in the team. What he does do objectively is analyze and inform the fans, which is more than a lot of broadcast teams do. It does no one good to spew off the type of homer analysis that Harrellson does because it does not accurately portray the game or the team to the fan. OK, maybe I just misinterpreted the original intent of his post then.

    Bill Snyder has to be one of the best coaches in the country. Amazing job he's doing at K-State. It's a damn shame that he wasn't recognized for it the first time around. He had to come out of retirement and do this for many people to notice. We have a shot of running the table, but will most likely lose one, as the Big 12 is tough. Damn though, I'd love for him to go out with a Ntl. Championship shot. He should have won one when I was at KSU in 98. That Big 12 Championship game in St. Louis was a great one. I'm sure I enjoyed it a bit more than you did, though. If you're one of three (or more) teams undefeated at the end of the season I imagine you'd get passed over for a spot in the BCS title game, right or wrong.

    Why is he an idiot? He's referring to a specific instance of nonsense here, I believe. Soriano saying he wants one last chance to play for a contender a few weeks after refusing a trade to SF can certainly be interpreted as a bit goofy. This. Plus he's a fan of professional wrestling.
