  1. Just saw that Turner shot 74% from the field. That is ridiculous.
  2. Elston Turner goes off for 40 at Rupp Arena as A&M wins by 12. I realize UK is struggling right now but that was a big win for us.
  3. From Adam Schefter: Two HC candidates that interviewed with Chicago said they never have interviewed with anyone as prepared and detailed as Bears GM Phil Emery
  4. I know I laughed quite a bit at Texas State, I'm not familiar with this A&M you speak of. If this were true, your college football ignorance would be quite sad. Since you obviously think about Texas A&M quite often it's even sadder that you keep posting stupid [expletive] like this. I'd make fun of your school if I cared enough to know who it is.
  5. Tebow can't throw. Manziel doesn't have that problem.
  6. How'd that work out for you? Two words for this post: Persecution Complex. Thanks, Dr. Phil.
  7. All of you guaranteeing Manziel won't get drafted #1 are the same ones who laughed at A&M before the season started. Is he a #1 pick now? Not a chance, but he's not entering the draft now. I'm not guaranteeing it or predicting it, but I'm not going to proclaim that it is not even possible when he does enter the draft. All I know is that I wouldn't bet against this kid.
  8. The more success that Russell Wilson has the higher Manziel's draft stock rises.
  9. He hasn't been drafted #1 yet. And best player for the NFL doesn't mean best player for college. And who's to say that Manziel won't be drafted #1 overall when he's actually eligible for the draft?
  10. Or maybe it was actually the Heisman Trophy winner? Take Luke Joeckel off this team and you would most likely see some drop off but I doubt our record changes much, if at all. Take Manziel off this team and we probably win 7-8 games. I love Joeckel and realize that he is an amazing football player, but his type are more common than Johnny's.
  11. Damn. 18-point win over Arkansas. I realize they're not a great team but we lost at home to Southern.
  12. Jabari Parker will change everything, sorry. Jabari Parker is going to KU? I thought he chose Duke. Your pathetic basketball team. I'm not sure Jabari alone could help this squad. He'd need to bring some friends.

  14. OT at Allen Fieldhouse? WTF? Hurry up and finish off ISU so I can watch my pathetic basketball team lose to another pathetic basketball team.
  15. By the way, OU's recruiting is taking a big hit due to our move to the SEC (and this year's completely unexpected success there).
  16. SEC, baby! Actually we have 34, I think. 9 are mid term enrollees that count back to 2012. We only took about 18 total last year with a couple of those counting towards 2011.
  17. Boston Celtics > ND
  18. Manziel isn't going pro just yet. Jake Matthews is coming back for his senior year. We'll be fine on the OLine. That was Sherman's specialty and we have plenty of talent there, including another of the Matthews clan expected to take over at center for departing senior Patrick Lewis. Defense will be a bigger concern for us next year. I was referring to Luke Joeckel and Damontre Moore. I know. I don't agree with them being our two best players from this past season. Both were excellent, Joeckel especially, and I hate to see them go but anyone who says Manziel was not our best player this year is just doing so in an attempt to look like they have some super special football knowledge that the average fan does not possess.
  19. Best logo in any sport.
  20. Manziel isn't going pro just yet. Jake Matthews is coming back for his senior year. We'll be fine on the OLine. 21. I'm not sure they will win 10 games again next year, but they do have a good recruiting class coming in (it helps when you have THIRTY-FIVE commitments, of course). If Sumlin is as good as he showed this year, there's no reason they can't settle in to a tier slightly below that of Bama, LSU and Florida with occasional years where they jump past them. First of all, we won 11 games this year. The program was sliding backwards when RC Slocum was fired and Coach Fran ran it into the ground. Mike Sherman did a very good job rebuilding the talent level and had some success (see 2010) but was just not a good college coach. Sumlin walked into a great situation. We need to upgrade the depth on defense, but Sumlin is pulling in a ridiculously good class right now without showing any signs of slowing down. Obviously I'm biased, but our offense is only going to get better with more exerience and it was pretty hard to slow down in the first year with a freshman QB. Unless Manziel gets hurt, I don't see us winning only 8 games with him under center. I have no idea how anyone who actually watched the game could say our win in Tuscaloosa was "semi-flukey". No one is saying that we are going to "pull ahead" of Alabama, LSU, or Florida. But to think that we can't compete on or near their level is short sighted.
  22. You forgot Jim Cornelison's National Anthem in your pros list.
  23. So when Saban's team blasts Notre Dame, ND is exposed as a pretender. But when they blast an SEC team under the exact same circumstances, it's Saban. Got it. Yeah, the result was much more than "ND is overrated." Alabama is better physically than every team in the country, SEC or not. Give Saban more time to prepare and that advantage is only magnified. Alabama didn't go undefeated this year. And both Georgia & LSU played them down to the wire.
  24. Saban is a great coach and he is definitely tough to beat with extra time to prepare. But it's not like we won't be prepared for that one too. And Sumlin has proven himself to be a damn good coach in a short amount of time. I think this year was Notre Dame being exposed as overrated, which wasn't a complete surprise to many. And despite his success, what Bama did to LSU last year was more Saban outcoaching Les Miles who is much more of a lucky gambler than a good gameday coach.
  25. What games has Saban not been well prepared for? Maybe he overlooked us a little bit last year, but it's not like he takes much for granted.
