  1. The Flyers went 35 games without a loss in the 1979-80 season. Don't think anyone will ever come close to that. We're over halfway there! If you figure in the games to end last season we're even closer but still a long way away.
  2. Let's say it's $4m. Would you take a 10% paycut because your employer asked you to, since they didn't want to pay your full salary anymore? I sure wouldn't. I already said I don't blame him for wanting & getting a max deal. Just don't complain when we are at the cap at can't easily add another star player to the team. (Are there even any star players available?) And you can't compare the situation to a normal workplace. We don't have salary caps, we aren't making tens of millions in salary and even more in endorsements, we don't have championships to play for which may have an effect on a star employee's legacy, and so on. But you are blaming him. And you even threw in a silly line about his family not starving. I'm sure his goal isn't for his family to not starve -- it's for his grandkids to not have to worry about money. He hasn't come out and said anything, but if I were him I'd want to be paid what I'm worth. That goes for any employee -- NBA superstar or not. That's why I used a percentage and not hard figures. I'm not blaming him at all. Reggie is whining because he wants more talent on the team. The Bulls are only a few games out of the #2 seed having played the whole season without Rose. Big bro is acting like DRose is surrounded by a bunch of crap like LeBron had in Cleveland and that we cannot win a championship with this roster so Derrick should probably sit out until we get better players. I don't agree with that. Sure I would like to add another scorer to the roster but I don't believe that this team (with a healthy Rose) has no shot at winning a title. And again the NBA has a salary cap. It's not like the Bulls can spend unlimited amounts of cash to add superstars. If DRose wants the max deal that he is entitled to and has earned, then fine. I don't begrudge him one bit. But his brother needs to shut his giant pie hole unless he has a master plan to make this team better. He can share those thoughts with GarPax.

  4. How much does Rose get from the Bulls each year? $16MM? How much does he get from Adidas? $25MM? Plus he has other endorsements I believe. I don't blame the guy for wanting and getting a max deal from the Bulls but he can easily take a few million less to allow the Bulls to add a player that will help him win a championship if he requires more talent around him. It's not like anyone in his family is going to starve. Players need to realize that there is a salary cap which makes it very difficult to build a great team.
  5. Pretty doubtful at this point. He's trying to troll Old Style.
  6. They made one late in the 2nd OT.
  7. He's a sophomore academically so I'm sure he's only taking lower level classes. Once you get into the upper level classes in your major I would imagine that you would not be able to take classes online.
  8. There's a fair chance 5 out of 5 will be, too. Only because Garza will be on the DL.
  9. That wasn't the case in the fall. Personally I think he should be in a classroom like everyone else but I can understand his reasoning. After the first few days of class people wouldn't be bugging him any more. The novelty would wear off. If anything, this will make it worse when he is seen around campus. And there are plenty of students taking online classes. It isn't like they were setup just for him.
  10. That dude's calculator is broked.
  11. I love this quote.
  12. Looked bad. Laid face down on the ice for a few minutes. Went straight to the dressing room.
  13. Hossa took a forearm shiver to the back of his head.
  14. Austin is a fun town, but I wouldn't expect much from the game atmosphere. It won't be bad but it won't be anything extraordinary.
  15. Was only 30, not 70+. http://crime.blogs.tuscaloosanews.com/14487/nearly-30-arrested-in-drug-round-up/ There are more than 30 people involved. http://i1193.photobucket.com/albums/aa342/joewallace0013/84E56D3E-7960-4529-981B-45A2D9238380-4725-000004185F9F5546_zps1402e9c2.jpg
  16. Rumors of a huge drug bust (70+ students) on the Alabama campus today. I wonder how many football players.
  17. If they're including tailgating, then I have no issue with the spot on the list. I just skimmed the names and didn't read the descriptions. I loved everything else about the trip to Oxford but the stadium is a small step up from some Texas HS stadiums. Now they get a bit nuts with HS football here, but I was unimpressed with the stadium and in game experience there.
  18. In preparation for next year's return?
  19. LOL @ this. That stadium is a joke.
  20. Idiots on Facebook are freaking out about the deal. Some of them even invoked the name of Lou Brock. Jesus, we have some dumb fans.
  21. So much fun to watch. DRose can take the whole season off as long as the Hawks keep playing like this.
  22. He was perfect from the field in the first half. Ended up 7-10 from 3-point range. And choked on the front end of a 1 and 1 with 4 seconds left up 2. Thank God that bitch Henderson had already fouled out.
  23. I keep waiting for NotDerrickRose to tweet about the Nerlens injury. #neehurding
  24. He's probably too busy golfing, counting his money, sitting on beaches, traveling and [expletive] super models to waste his time giving that piece of [expletive] magazine an interview Mike? Is that you?
