I think 6 or 8 teams would be the ideal amount for college football.

There are like 2 bowls in the 12/15-12/20 range. I don't know how many teams have this issue, I'd guess many of them, but ND simply won't play a 12/15 game b/c it's the weekend between finals. I can't imagine taking a week off and then playing 4 more games that start the weekend of finals and run through Christmas and New Years weekends. Also, with all the head injury issues, I just can't see the NCAA going to a 16-17 game schedule for the teams that make it every year. What do Lee Corso and Lou Holtz have to do with this argument?

A 4-team playoff this year probably gives us Alabama vs Oregon or ND and likely yields a similar result. Playoffs don't stop one team and one coach from being superior. Alabama didn't go undefeated this year.

Anyone that can get pressure on him can stop him. The few times OU pressured or blitzed were the times he made big mistakes, like an INT in the end zone. You mean the play where OU was clearly offsides and Manziel's pass hit the WR right in his [expletive] hands?

Kevin Sumlin was on the OU sidelines for that game. Fran was such a worthless POS coach. I have no idea how he was successful at his other coaching stops.

Smith & Grimes both coached at A&M under Coach Fran. Hope you get better results out them than we did.

The perception of the SEC being the best conference in college football, right or wrong, helps recruiting. We saw a big impact before the season even started. Now that we actually won 10 games (with the bowl game yet to be played) as a member of the SEC our recruiting has exploded. That is a good reason to want to see the rest of the conference win their OOC and bowl games.

Looked like Florida expected to just walk into the Superdome and dominate. They got smacked in the mouth hard. The SEC has been a huge disappointment so far. Hopefully A&M and Alabama can do a little damage control.

I'm in a pool where we pick every game of the season against the spread. I went an unbelievable 15-1 this week. Still in shock. It's too bad I didn't bet with a bookie. Could have made some serious money.
