    Yeah, this was my "Marquis vs. Sheets, how the hell are we going to win this game" optimistic view as well. Classes are done till mid May for me, I'm bored, and going through some major Cub withdrawal!

    I'd much rather offer Theriot, Murton and Pie than Cedeno and Pie. If Cedeno continues to produce, I could easily see him replacing DeRosa at the end of his contract (in the scenario that the cubs upgrade at SS). And if nothing else, he's an above average sub. That said, I think Theriot can be a very passable sub himself and would probably have no problem doing Cedeno + Pie.

    Yeah and it looks like good Wuertz is back too so maybe we can continue to keep him fresh. The bullpen in general should be well rested for these big series. lining>

    Every team goes through little stretches like this, especially on the road. They get to go home and regroup on their off day tomorrow and will still be 16-9 and in first. I'm disappointed with their performance today, but it's not the end of the world.

Do you honestly think that he has a better chance to sustain numbers like those than Cedeno? Look at his track record. He has shown that, over time, he will probably play below average baseball. It's not a stretch for someone to predict this.

Next weekend I had better see a lineup like this Lou: Soriano Cedeno Lee ARam Fukudome Soto DeResoa Pie i hate it too that his .337/.406/.465 line has impeded this offense in comparison to Ronny's .375/.432/.575, yeah, it has a little. what an incredibly asinine reason to bash someone. they've been playing concurrently much of the time but that probably doesnt matter for your ridiculous argument. So because they are both playing in a game and not in substitution of one another I can't compare statistics? I didn't realize comparing batting statistics is a "ridiculous argument". Your right man, Theriot is a much better ballplayer than Cedeno is or ever will be.

    Brennan and Booty may still be there for them in the fourth. Dixon could be a project for them in the fifth. I actually like Booty a lot more than Brennan. I think he's got a chance to be really solid.
