  1. oh well, go get em in Detroit and we can pretend like this dumb, little one-game trip to Atlanta never happened.
  2. Bob is already doing damage control concerning Fox and Hoffpauir's OF defense before they even take the field :)
  3. I was curious after today's game as to Gregg and Heilman's stats over the last few weeks. It has seemed they have been pitching better (or even good *gasp*) lately and wondered if this Cubs bullpen could somehow be average to good as of late. Good stuff. If they could keep it up, coupled with continued success of SP and the latest awakening of bats, it could make for a very interesting Summer.
  4. I'm very impressed by the video quality (wifi)! I love this app!
  5. In typical Cubs fashion, they'll hit Lee pretty well after making these other jackholes look like Cy Young Award winners over the past few weeks. Cubs win 8-2. Everybody rejoices and gets inebriated because it's Friday and the Cubs won.
  6. Guess it just seemed obvious to me. No offense. None taken - I just hadn't heard of the firmware update (which is probably something I should have kept up with) and was a bit perplexed since it was specifically called iPhone software. Back to the subject at hand, it looks like they have chosen several Cubs games over the next few days to be one of the two featured games. I hope that trend continues.
  7. I couldn't find the software update through the app store, but I found it on apple.com shortly after I posted that. The whole "iPhone" software update rather than just software update had me worried that it wasn't yet available for the touch. I don't understand the whole "what's the confusion" part of the response, but I guess thanks anyway.
  8. It's telling me that the updated mlb at bat application (1.2.0) is not compatible because it requires the iPhone 3.0 Software update. It clearly states that it's compatible with the iTouch however on the iTunes page and my iTouch is not even a half a year old. Any help? Thanks in advance.
  9. One NCAA basketball when I was one year old (NC State '83) and the Redskins won super bowls XVII and XXVI when I was one and ten years old respectively. Basically none that I have really had the chance to cherish and appreciate.
  10. Yeah, but he's got a cool nickname when he looks stupid striking out - "Fukucopter" lolol
  11. Unfortunately our baserunning is just as idiotic as always.
  12. I love being wrong! :D Bradley looked like he was surprised he hit the ball (or hit it that well). Lets keep it goin!
  13. How are we going to blow this one? K followed by DP would be the most likely scenario.
  14. This post got me thinking in the "Cubs watching Pedro" thread: It's already been established that 2B is one of the very few areas in which the Cubs could feasibly add any offensive help. Assuming the money could be worked out - would anyone here part with Wells or Marshall plus a throw-in or two for Freddy Sanchez? He's only under contract for this year (6.5MM) and he's put up some really good numbers this year (826 OPS). If there is one area the Cubs have depth it's SP. Trading Wells now would be the epitome of selling high. Fontenot would then become the number one backup MI/3B and hopefully Miles would rarely see anymore playing time. The Pirates have already indicated that they are forfeiting this year and looking towards the future.
  15. This was my initial thought. Theoretically it may be the only bullpen role that he would agree to (I'm just speculating, he may jump at a bullpen role either way). If nothing else it could change the dynamics of this current team and get the attention off of the offense and its struggles. Plus, it would rid Gregg of the closer spot. It's probably just a pipe dream, but it would certainly be interesting to watch.
  16. Blum is sooooo clutch. :banghead: oh well, go Rox and hopefully we're still only one back in the loss column tomorrow. I'm not sweating tomorrow's Dempster/Ortiz matchup
  17. this is the new "unproven reliever" zone apparently
