    Lee is OPS'ing .968 in May. Soto is slumping but is getting on base at a decent clip as of late (plus solid defense as always). Fontenot is batting .400 for the past week. Mediocre may be a far cry when this is all said and done. It's very early yet.

    Why are you even here? It's really unfair for so many of you to claim to hate/not care about this team and then not follow through. This team has lost 9 of 11. Those 2 wins were a 5th inning rain shortened game and a 8th inning win against the Pittsburgh Pirates. I already knew that. It's kinda common knowledge courtesy the box scores. The question is, why do you post here if you are 100% over the top negative all of the time? It sucks - for everyone.

    We're 4 back with 4 months left in the season. I, myself, and starting to step away from the ledge. Zambrano puts this team on his back and the Cubs roll 6-2.

    Braun taken out of the game after being hit in the wrist during an AB. He was taken out when they took the field - the Brewers guys are insinuating that it's just precautionary.

    Lou made it sound like Marshall would go to the pen. At least Cotts will be gone? Yeah, that is definitely the silver lining. If Wells can keep pitching like he has (I have my doubts) then it's not really that bad of a move. All in all though, I'd rather just drop Cotts and send Wells to the pen - but we MUST have a lefty for crying out loud! I don't think we have to. We just need a guy who can get lefty's out. I agree - that statement was from Lou's aspect. It's that old-school mentality where there must be at least one lefty in your rotation and bullpen. If it is beneficial, then fine. But obsessing about it to the point it hurts the ballclub (i.e. Cotts), then its a problem.

    From the sound of Lou's pre-game comments playing right now on CSN, it sounds like whenever Harden comes off the DL Cotts will be out and Marshall will be in the pen. I'd rather just keep Marshall in the rotation, but whatever. He had better be a full inning reliever though and not some LOOGY.
