Lou made it sound like Marshall would go to the pen. At least Cotts will be gone? Yeah, that is definitely the silver lining. If Wells can keep pitching like he has (I have my doubts) then it's not really that bad of a move. All in all though, I'd rather just drop Cotts and send Wells to the pen - but we MUST have a lefty for crying out loud! I don't think we have to. We just need a guy who can get lefty's out. I agree - that statement was from Lou's aspect. It's that old-school mentality where there must be at least one lefty in your rotation and bullpen. If it is beneficial, then fine. But obsessing about it to the point it hurts the ballclub (i.e. Cotts), then its a problem.
