    The chances of Schwarber being completely wasted as our backup catcher are zero. He's either gonna start at catcher, start in left field, or get traded for a pitcher. I read that to mean Montero becomes the backup catcher. Plus it answers the question of the thread accurately when read that way.

    LLF, in addition to the fact that the talent is unevenly skewed towards the Padres, the financial situations for Shields and Kemp are extreme. Both players are owed a TON of money that extremely limits their trade value (and in Kemp's case, especially, has negative value). The fact the Cubs would be the ones throwing in money on that deal is the part that is especially crazy. That said, I appreciate the creativity and effort, regardless. Keep on doing you.

    I'm not sure as to the origin of those trade offer responses, but I do know they are incredible.

    I know you are keeping up via Gamecast but it's funny you mention that because Frazier just smoked a ball and Fowler made an awesome running catch on the WT Overall, I'd agree this seems to have been the case for most of the series.

    Yes. (I know, I'm kind of ashamed to admit that) I'm almost done with season 2 and just started a few days ago. It's amazing.

    nevermind. thought he looked safe on the replay with the high tag. just kidding. also, I thought this game was starting at 7:00 so I was biking and watching Breaking Bad. Turned it on just in time to see Deno rip the double down the line with the bases loaded. this game has been fun for the past 20 mins I've been watching.
