    based on the movement my best guess was it was a slider that wasn't terrible but missed it's spot. he threw a ton of fastballs in a row before then that it think threw crawford's timing off on that pitch.

    (a) the cubs are .251/.343/.415/.758 in those situations this year, so they execute kind of at a rate consistent with their non-runner-on-third situations. (b) the cubs have scored 6 runs a game this month, so maybe give it a rest for once. Pretty sure he was parodying himself how [expletive] confusing is that????

    You can see it right up there. ha you're right at least he spared us by wearing knee high black socks (this is how you know he gives no [expletive]...nobody on earth thinks that is a good look) Stop by a college campus. Probably more of these 18-20 y/o guys than not think it's a good look. It was a running joke we had during orienation check-in this summer.

    They are more rare than perhaps with other agents, but haven't there been a few Boras clients that have signed those (i.e. Long-term/buy out arbitration years) types of contracts? I'm hoping the chemistry and all the youth - and having Rizzo and Castro both already on said contracts - will lean Bryant and Russell to take such deals. I'm sure that's me being overly optimistic, but that's my take.
