I really don't think it's worth worrying about. The Cubs lead MLB in runs in September (at least up until a few days ago - haven't checked since). They'll either have a good or bad day in the WC game. It's that simple. After that anything is possible.
there's literally no wind not to mention the atmosphere at wrigley would be electric and anything that any one of us should want. not to mention that it's essentially impossible the cubs could have the WC home field advantage. there is so much wrong with this post.
is there an easy explanation to hendrick's big jump in his K/9 rate this year? I think earlier in the year I read he tacked a mile or two on his FB and that - coupled with his excellent changeup - will certainly help. Just didn't know if there was something else in his pitch usage or stuff that seems a logical explanation.
I also like it when I post directly after David because a small part of me holds out hope that he secretly has a tiny bit of a soul and feels bad seeing poor Starlin&. but then again robots/no emotions/etc etc
does anyone else find themselves clapping along? I love Castro http://m.mlb.com/cutfour/2015/09/28/152047168/starlin-castros-catchy-walkup-song David: do you feel bad after watching that and knowing that you took him out of your signature in cold blood? I would.
I saw Doug Dacenzo pitch because the cubs got blown out. Andy Van Slyke, Bobby Bonilla and skinny Bonds all homered I believe. Sandberg and Dawson were hurt. I didn't care, though, because i was 7 and it was wrigley field.
yep. hoping the pirates sweep them. hopefully both teams are fighting tooth and nail till the end for the division and hopefully their aces aren't lined up for the WC game?
