    Pinto walks the bases loaded in the 2nd but the I-Cubs can't score. 6 walks thru 2 for Pinto but the Cubs have only 1 hit and 2 runs to show for it...

    Iowa up 1-0 without a hit. Thats Renyel Pinto for ya. A few walks, a couple wild pitches... Now Iowa gets their first hit from Soto and Restovich scores... 2-0 Iowa

    I don't think that's the point. He's still better than Konerko so expect his contract to be in that neighborhood. The Cubs don't want him to become a FA and have other teams attempt to drive up the price. I'm sure some teams would be very willing to overpay so the Cubs will want to be generous without breaking the bank. The best time to do that is now. But Konerko won a world series so he's clutch or something. I wouldn't be shocked at all to see Lee get a lesser contract than Konerko. Well hasnt Derrek Lee won just as many World Series as Konerko has???

    Too much chaff at Iowa. Who is Jamal Strong, anyway? Isn't he the guy that Len was referring to as the mystery man last weekend? Yes he was. I believe Kasper said he switched numbers..

    It looked like he was grabbing his right rib cage, which is quite an odd injury for a lefty. I think he just ruptured the implants he got in the offseason.... And yes Sabathia is on my fantasy team as well so it shouldnt be too surprising he'd be the first injury of the year...

    Its great seeing Aardsma throwing that hard again. If he gets it all back together again the LaTroy deal should be one the most lopsided deals in a long time. It would definitely rival the Hundley deal....

    The Bulls have to be the most unpredictable team out there. It would be nice to see them sneak up for that last playoff spot though. That choke job the other day to Orlando hurts...

    There's an understatement if I've ever heard one. As for wanting Lee, I would've agreed with you a year ago. His 2005 left much to be desired, though. Well he did have 32 hr and 114 rbi last year so it wasn't that bad a of a year. Yeah he avg was down but he is a .284 career hitter. I wouldnt be against a Murton and Hill deal for CLee....
