    Are you saying Marshall is a better starting option than Kerry Wood? I can't see Wood being effective out of the bullpen right now. With all the shoulder stiffness he's been having there's no way he could pitch in back to back games or even 2 every other day.

    This is the last Wade Miller news I saw. From Rotoworld. May. 28, 2006 - 10:00 am et Wade Miller (shoulder) threw 60 pitches in an extended spring training game on Saturday. Miller's next start will likely be for Single-A Peoria. He is on pace for a mid-June return to the Cubs' rotation. Source: Daily Southtown

    I dont see Soto getting any starts even if he is called. Blanco started every day when Barrett was hurt last September. If Dusty didnt have faith in him to start a meaningless game I doubt he'll give Soto an opportunity now...

    This lefty BP pitcher is horrible. He seriously can't throw a strike to save his life... It really can't be that hard to find someone to throw BP....

    Welllllll... It could be a way to get rid of players like Perez, Bynum, Pierre, Jones... Which many NSBBers want. Dollars to doughnuts says that Ryan Theriot would be sent back down in favor of JT Snow if he were acquired. Thats if Womack doesnt send Theriot down first...

Hairston is better than Womack, as bad as Hairston is. Yeah I'd say Hairston is better than Womack but at least Womack plays smarter baseball. I'm tired of Hairston's ill-advised throws, his trying to steal with the pitcher up and 2 outs, his making the last out of an inning trying to steal 3b, etc..... Is it too much to ask to know what you're doing on the field???
