  1. This is one of the worst takes I've seen on this site. a take even derwood would be ashamed of
  2. lets marvel at how bad our starting pitching is Our best starter, Lester, has lucked (or veteran presenced) himself to a whole 0.9 WAR, good for 57th among qualifiers, behind studs like *squints* Clayton Richard (42nd,) Tyson Ross (34th,) and Jose Urena (31st.) After that you've got Jose Quintana (0.6 WAR, 67th,) Kyle Hendricks (0.5 WAR, 71st,) and ... that's it. Only 88 pitchers qualify. Our rotation is so bad that Chatwood has been allowed to throw 70 innings despite literally walking a batter an inning and our second-most valuable pitcher is a 115-pound reliever who hasn't pitched in a month and may be dead. Or I guess it might be 5.9 K/9 Mike Montgomery.
  3. lol this dudes name is duh-wayne
  4. He's been less valuable (1.2 WAR in 75 games vs 1.1 WAR in 59 games) than Jason Heyward, who should opt out and get $300 mil too.
  5. now we're doing reverse tootblans in the field
  6. Jul 21-22, 2015 - 2 HR Sept. 29-Oct. 1, 2015 - 0 HR (4-11 w/2BB tho) April 21-23, 2017 - 0 HR Aug. 22-24, 2017 - 1 HR April 2, 2018 - 0 HR May 18-20, 2018 - 1 HR Jun 21-cont - 1 HR So yes
  7. lol his micropenis
  8. god quintana is the least impressive pitcher ever. just boring everything
  9. Carlos Boozer was a very good player, especially at his peak with Utah. I'd be more than happy if that were his outcome. That said, it's kind of a weird comp IMO from what I can gather. The comment about the 2010-11 Bulls is pretty weird considering that team had a superstar DRose and probably could've gotten past any non-Heatles team in the East, including the later LeBron Cavs teams. That team legit could've won a title in a non-superteam NBA. billups comps were horsefeathering bonkers all night.
  10. Also i have a couple political types with good OU ties as sources who this afternoon both become suddenly CONVINCED that atlanta is drafting Doncic and trading him to dallas, who is drafting trae young edit: im assuming they're hearing from people who are hearing from Young's family, who are likely being blown smoke by about half the lottery, so who knows
  11. if you're trying to turn it around in one year, sure. But if you're going to be bad again next year (and arguably the bulls can very easily be intentionally worse in 18-19 than they were in 17-18) then grabbing Bamba to be that Goebert type while you try to either draft a second option next year or trade the pick for one seems viable to me.
  12. it's hard to tell but the guy in the picture looks to be about 31 years old
  13. how the hell do you hit a triple to left field in wrigley???????
  14. im thinking in the $100m range Are there only 4? Lester, Crawford, Heyward and Yu? Adrian Gonzalez too.
  15. The 2016 World Series MVP worked out pretty well, but perhaps may be under your definition of mega FA signing im thinking in the $100m range
  16. is jon lester the only good mega FA signing theo has ever made?
  17. Mike Trout is a god damn freak.
