Also, don't forget about Pronk. .354/.483/.854/1.337 Here's Shelton, just for a laugh .471/.500/1.216/1.716 The only problem? 2bb/16k. He's hitting everything in sight, so eventually pitchers are just gonna stop. Hope he knows hot to not swing.
Pujols really is amazing. I dont even hate to say it anymore. I work with a bunch of Cardinal fans and we were watching the game yesterday. Did anyone not see HR number 3 coming? Everyone in the place called the walk-off, no one was surprised in the least. His swing is so beautiful.
I'm sure that discussion is deleted by now, I think threads only go back to June or July now. Either way, if it wasn't you, I'd love to know why I just substituted your name in there.
Huh? There was a thread last season about Rusch, and someone started talking about how he had become a "pitcher" and that when he came into the league he was throwing heat and striking people out all the time. I'm positive it was you.
im pretty sure that if barrett pinch hits for blanco, that no matter what the outcome, it was the right move, so in conclusion i think you are drunk sir.
He's only been great for one year. He's been good for several years. He never appeared very good to me. His numbers seemed pretty average for a firstbaseman not in his prime. Either way, i'll take 5/65.
Yeah, you never see pitchers hurt a muscle in their shoulder. Ever. It's nigh impossible for a pitcher to strain a shoulder muscle. I mean, how could that even happen?
That's not true at all. Most of your best OBP guys are mashers. To add to this point... From the other thread, here is the list of players with the highest HR totals at their positions over the past two years: Most of the guys on that list consistently post very good OBP's in addition to their excellent slugging totals. Top 20 SLG% 2005 1 Derrek Lee 2 Alex Rodriguez 3 Albert Pujols 4 David Ortiz 5 Travis Hafner 6 Manny Ramirez 7 Carlos Delgado 8 Ken Griffey Jr. 9 Andruw Jones 10 Mark Teixeira 11 Aramis Ramirez 12 Vladimir Guerrero 13 Miguel Cabrera Fla 14 Jason Bay 15 Morgan Ensberg 16 Chad Tracy 17 Richie Sexson 18 Adam Dunn Chase Utley 20 Jason Giambi What do they all have in common? OBP% above .350 (except for stupid Andruw "Runner Up in the MVP" Jones at .347) Hell, only one person in the top 30 has a substandard OBP and that is Jay Gibbons at 29.
