  1. cant believe almonte jr didnt come through there
  2. thank god this is the last bryant AB of the year
  3. i cant believe we're on the receiving end of one of those "commissioner tells the umps to help the big market team advance" games and we literally can't take advantage whatsoever
  4. wtf lol they are trying everything to give us this game
  5. did he almost give up a bomb to butera and no one mentioned it in the booth lol
  6. do or die ab and our $160 million dollar/worst batting average in postseason history guy is up lol
  7. i do wonder if they're extending freeland too much. he's been so efficient but it's 3 days rest ... he could fall off a cliff fast probably has to happen this inning for us, they should get 2 shutout innings against the bottom of our lineup out of their bullpen
  8. this is seriously the most appropriate outcome. cant wait to bump all the "we have the best offense in the league" posts from the pollyanna brigade from this summer
  9. i didnt even have enough time to bump my rockies of error post
  10. after this loss we should grant jon his release so he can play for a contender
  11. hard to understand how this strategy of either striking out or hitting pathetic ground ball isn't resulting in runs. Seriously 12 of the 15 outs have been strikeouts or groundouts
  12. 3 hitting coaches in 3 years sounds like a totally stable thing to have happen
  13. what makes you think it would be "based off playoff performances" in maddon's case? It's more likely (assuming this report is real, who knows) that they want to get rid of maddon but are wary of doing it if the cubs make an extended run in the playoffs again. Losing the division lead and then dropping 163 and the WC game at home would just allow them to more easily cut Maddon loose without too much scrutiny. Based off the post I replied to and the other article today of it being based on how the playoffs go? If they want him to go fine, I’d completely get it. But the reason being how the playoffs go I 100% don’t buy. "gone if" does not mean "gone because"
  14. feels like this is where big donk jon sees it go off the rails
  15. Olney mentioned on his podcast today that there is speculation within baseball that Roberts and Maddon could be gone if they get bounced early. It would seem to be very unlike both teams/FO’s to make their decision based off the postseason. Off other reasons, sure. But just based off playoff performances I find that hard to believe. I still don’t think Joe is gone unless he decides to retire. what makes you think it would be "based off playoff performances" in maddon's case?
