    Pointlessly pulling Chavez for La Stella when he did is all on Joe. Yep, that was a huge mistake in my opinion. You probably burn him for today if you send him back out there, but then again, you’re possibly not playing today if you leave him in and can score a run. I have no idea who’s closing in that scenario though. in retrospect didn't it pay off? We only scored one run. Unless he developed a way to somehow hold milwaukee to negative runs, we would have burned him for today and still lost.     I want to see every poster make at least two pre-game shot calls for tonight 1.) Freeland has a flukishly low HR/FB rate (5th best among qualified SP in the majors) and gives up home runs to zobrist and KB. 2.) A Rockies outfielder badly misplays a ball in the outfield leading to a Cubs run.

    you absolute madman I WANTED to hate them. But they didn't and don't have nearly enough hatable players for my liking. They're either super forgettable or actually kinda cool dudes. Plus their parking lot is Jets vs. Sharks, except with real knives. Larry King's usually lurking in the front row like some kind of good luck ghoul...plus I'm never gonna fault a team for spending F.U. money. while just now looking at their fangraphs page to determine if i had reasons to hate their top 10 batters (I succeeded) I learned that Slur Hernandez hit 21 bombs this year

    I tried this yesterday and David and others pointed out that they are actually slightly below average at hitting LHP when you adjust for park effects 99 OPS+ against LHP at wrigley field this year. im unsure how many of those plate appearances (50) were in evening games though but basically we're gonna win

    ive actually got my eye on james hoye over there at 3B - our infielders have a lower UZR in games he's umpired. classic manfred trying to ensure that the small market cubs are kept out in favor of the rockies and brewers.

    I feel like we already proved this year that our defense and even a bipolar offense can carry the pitching staff. You probably gotta bank on the arms you have, load up on some depth, hope smyly gives you 100+ innings and buy a fugging bat. i can't see them risking more than 100 million on an already injured pitcher coming over from another league
