    varsity blues was a great movie OU Baseball: Can't stop, won't stop I don't know where this last week has come from. In reality, they should have beat Texas in the Big 12 tourney. I'm sure we lose today, though.

    Zambrano will likely be a better pitcher than my dead cat. HUH? I think hes equating the production of a Johnson/Edmonds platoon to his dead cat, thereby confirming that Murton/Hoffpauir would indeed be better than Johnson/Edmonds, as is my understanding. But what does that have to do with Zambrano pitching? How in the world did this go over your head?

    Marmol was amazing last year, and once Lou realized that he could put him in high leverage situations he seemed to even get better. But I definitely thought it might be sort of flukish in that Marmol is good, but not that good. Few relievers in baseball history have actually been that good. Some have had seasons that approached and surpassed Marmol's 2007, but to sustain it for more than one year? Most relievers can't do that, their performance varies too much from year to year. I think it's time for my walls of pessimism to crumble. Fifty-two strikeoouts in 35 innings? Ridiculous. Fourteen hits allowed in 35 innings? These are not real numbers.

    I had a ton of errands today, so I just checked the score on my way to work, only to hear that we were down 9-1. Then I get into the office and see that we're up 10-9, andMarmol struck out three on 10 pitches. Then I see that Wood walked the leadoff guy. It's a rollercoaster of emotion

    The Cubs aren't going to trade Soriano, and the Mets wouldn't accept a similarly overpaid player in return for Beltran in the first place. Putting Beltran in our CF, but replacing Soriano with Johnson/Murton/Hoffpauir/Whoever just fills one hole and creates another.

Way too many of your posts are nothing but empty insults, and many of the others are just plain stupid. People here, including myself, show a hell of a lot more civility towards you than you display to others. Other people have disagreed respectfully and supported their arguments, but not you. Just leave the thread if you can't add anything. Better yet, just leave. While you again ignore a terrific response

    i honestly think joe morgan is better than sutcliffe I was going to say that but I didn't know if I was going too far. Just avoid the cancer jokes. Everything else is game with Sutcliffe. He'd probably take cancer jokes over Morgan comparisons
