  1. maybe you can't tell from watching the gamecasts on yahoo or whatever, but something is clearly ailing him. Looks like a lower leg thing, to me, but i'm no doctor. I've been watching every game - I don't notice anything... I don't get why you have to mention it in every post. A more appropriate reference would have been Lee's chair explosion. that's certainly good news. it's time like these i wish we had an inside source that could just get on here and say one way or the other whether or not they'd heard or knew something. Oh well, back to speculating, i guess. Who needs an inside source? If he was hurting it would be noticable by now. He's a center fielder, so it would be hard to mask a lower leg injury if it was any sort of serious. Your eyes have decieved you. So again, why is this being brought up in every thread? every thread? he's maybe our best hitter, and he looked like he might be hurting to me. I believe I asked in a couple of game threads and then casually mentioned it here. What a crime.

  4. they should just start showing the Wood 20k game and let us all be happy for 2 hours
  5. Go back to your Byrd is hurt shtick, the guy has had 32 career starts with an ERA of 3.03 and a WHIP of 1.27. He probably won't keep that up, but sometimes pitchers have bad outings woah 32 whole starts? stop the presses. he had a fluke year, he's not good. Passable as a 5th guy maybe, on occasion.
  6. Who knew Randy Wells wasn't actually good? (oh, everyone)
  7. I prefer my version of events
  8. WTF First Marlon Byrd is hobbled and now this. Only the Cubs.
  9. Future Bengals linebackers coach Lawrence Taylor accused of rape
  10. good call Oh, the Cubs took the lead that inning? No, they made people who make trite remarks look really obnoxious. As obnoxious as trolling about Byrd being hurt? trolling? funny definition of that word. i heard he was injured and i'm just looking for confirmation since I cant watch the game tonight.
  11. good call Oh, the Cubs took the lead that inning? oh, the game ends after 3 innings now? (owned)
  12. how did byrd look while he was stretching it to third? ok?
  13. So Byrd looks ok? Man, I hope he's healed up. He's been a big part of our offense so far, I'd hate to lose him for any extended period.
  14. I don't have the game on, how does Byrd look? Still hobbled?
  15. i would have liked to have seen byrd get a little more juice on that throw (he 2 hopped it,) but it's not surprising that he couldn't get a lot of force off his injured leg. good throw nonetheless
  16. it really does. at first i thought it was just my eyes, but it's pretty miserable. byrd favoring his leg once he got to second. really hope he's going to be ok. Wait, what happened to Byrd? I didn't notice him favoring anything. nothing for sure, just observation.

  18. im concerned about marlon byrd, he doesnt look right to me out in the field and on the basepaths. he looks like he's running in pain. stress fracture maybe?
  19. I thought it was very good quality. I can't believe that WGN HD was not on Direc TV until now. What was the holdup? it probably has to do with the fact that there's nothing on wgn worth watching in hd other than the cubs
  20. third wtf
  21. kind of getting off the point. no one is saying he was amazing or the greatest ever or in the top 10 all time or something, just he's the best in chicago's history. the competition isn't real sharp.
  22. i tried to start a "prett-ty good, prett-ty good" chant when russell westbrook was on the line once but it didn't take
  23. i didnt until this year. maybe it's an effect of paul being injured and kind of out of sight out of mind, but i think deron might be top 5 in the nba. i'd like to take this opportunity to formally apologize to illiniguy for all my chris paul arguments in the past. you win.
  24. redflush doesn't actually think angelo was better than krause. he just took a contrary position and is flailing wildly now that he realizes he has to back it up. if he was more intelligent i'd laugh it off as funny trolling, but, well ...
